from Google & Yelp"When I went to Matcha Ren I ordered the Strawberry Matcha Latte, Mont Blanc Softserve, and Kuromitsu Kinako Crepe. When we first tried the latte, we thought that the matcha was very strong. However, after we mixed it with the strawberry part, it tasted much better. The flavors blended perfectly and balanced. The Mont Blanc Softserve had just the right amount of Matcha to it and had the perfect amount of the white bean matcha noodles on top. The crepe was also good, and the mochi and ice cream were great with it as well. The cafe itself was very calm and peaceful, so we probably went there at a good time. The color scheme was pretty calming as well as the furniture and music. The barista was very friendly and didn't make the experience seem boring. Even though it tasted great, it was still a bit pricey, but that's understandable because of all the matcha. Other than that, everything looked and tasted great - totally recommend it."
"I was very disappointed with the dessert service here. The ice cream was served wrapped in brown paper towels, which was completely unexpected. Furthermore, the texture of the ice cream was off—unlike any I’ve had before. For the price, I expected much better quality and presentation."
"Such a cute little ice cream spot inside Mitsuwa Marketplace. I tried the Blanc Matcha, rich flavor and super smooth. The best part is watching them make it fresh right in front of you, which makes the whole experience even more fun. Definitely worth a try!!"
"I was really excited to have some "Hokkaido Milk" soft serve on a nice waffle cone. The ice cream was icy and artificially sweet--like the vanilla swirl you'd get at a cheap carnival--and the $1 extra cone was stale. We also got the black sesame shake which was equally icy, and tasted like sesame seeds ground in ice water. The person working there also waited like 5 minutes before taking anyone's order. We threw our food out immediately and vow never to return!"
"Everything was well priced and AMAZING! Real matcha flavor, great texture and I can tell they used good ingredients and handmade products. I got good service and he even offered for me to take a video of him during the process which I REALLY wanted but was scared to ask, so it was so kind! My husband is so picky and even he really loved it! Recommend this place to any matcha lover!"
