"This place is perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to focus, read, or work without feeling rushed. The ambiance is minimal and thoughtfully designed. I came specifically to try the ceremonial matcha, and the selection is impressive. Each matcha is clearly described with notes on aroma, umami, color, and aftertaste. I chose the Kuro with maximum umami : rich, deep, beautifully balanced. A real treat. The service was warm and attentive, and the staff made the experience feel easy and welcoming. Definitely a place I’ll come back to."

"This was absolutely amazing. They have rotating espresso types weekly. I tried the light roast fruity one this time as a flat white and it was great. I also got my usually vanilla latte and chocolate croissant as a little treat. 10/10 recommend. Great place to work remotely for a few hours."

"Stereoscope Coffee on Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood is a sleek, modern café that takes its coffee seriously. The drinks are high quality, especially their vanilla latte and pour-overs. The matcha and hojicha options are also excellent if you’re in the mood for something different. The space is stylish, with an industrial vibe, and there’s good natural light, making it a nice spot to relax or get work done. Staff are friendly and know their stuff. Parking in Hollywood can be tough, but they validate for one hour in the lot next door, which is a big plus. Only downside: it can get crowded and seating is limited. Still, it’s a great coffee shop worth visiting. Four solid stars."

"Another winner from Stereoscope. The interior is striking, with the mixture of concrete, mirrored surfaces, and wood. It was fairly packed when I came last, but there was plenty of outside seating and some spots inside. The staff seemed a tad overwhelmed with drink orders, but they were still friendly when it came to my turn. I got the Rwandan espresso and it was phenomenal. They serve it (along with its adjoining sparkling water) in unique ceramic cups that feel very “Japanese ceremonial”. It definitely elevates the experience. The only note I’d add for the management team is to see if there’s a way to dampen the door closure leading to the outside seating. I sat next to it, and every time people went in and out, it would slam pretty abrasively. Other than that, I’d return in a heartbeat for more great coffee. ☕️"

"Stereoscope is one of my fav cafes in LA. Their coffee roasting and drink crafting is top notch. There are usually 2-3 single origin roasts available for pour over. I found them to be on the lighter side of medium, but flavorful and less acidic than some 3rd Wave roasters like Blue Bottle and Heart. For flavored drinks, they use quality ingredients such as Jacobin salt for their salted caramel, real vanilla extract and Uji matcha for their flavored lattes. Their interior is reminiscent of a modern art gallery, with concrete walls, high ceilings with ultraslim light fixtures across the length of the cafe and polished metal tabletops and stools. Their baristas are friendly, patient and are kind to discuss their drink menu and coffee beans. Their parking can be a bit tricky. There is metered street parking but it’s difficult to score a spot. There is a parking garage behind the cafe, but they charge in 15 minute increments. So you can rack up a fat ticket in an hour. Other than the parking situation, I wholeheartedly recommend Stereoscope for their excellent coffee and drinks as well as their sleek decor."
