What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"The Sycamore Kitchen was a great brunch stop with solid flavors and a relaxed vibe. We ordered the chilaquiles, avocado toast, and falafel bowl — all well-balanced and thoughtfully done. The chilaquiles were comforting and bold without being heavy. Avocado toast was fresh, simple, and elevated. The falafel bowl was hearty and flavorful. The rosemary coffee was the standout — unique, aromatic, and memorable."

"I have been eating here multiple times a week for the past month plus and this place is awesome. I don’t love counter only service, but it works as a mostly coffee and pastry stop plus they have a lovely large front patio if you stay. All of the pastries are to die for, amazing Stumptown coffee, I love the salmon toast and the pork belly hash- wouldn’t get the chilaquiles again. All in all great place! Try the chocolate banana bread and the chop salad!"

"I had been hearing great things about The Sycamore Kitchen for a while, so I was excited to finally check it out. Overall, the food was solid and I can see why people enjoy coming here. The dishes are fresh and you can tell they put care into what they’re making. That said, I did have a small issue with the service during my visit. When our server brought our drinks to the table, she kind of just threw the straws down rather than placing them properly. It felt a bit rushed and not as attentive as I would have expected. A little more attention to those small details would really elevate the overall experience. One other thing I noticed is that the menu leans pretty heavily on fried options. If you’re looking for lighter fare, you might find yourself with fewer choices than expected. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if that’s not what you’re in the mood for. The food itself was tasty and I would consider coming back. Just hoping for a bit more warmth and care from the service next time."

"Pancake: 3/5 mediocre, soft but bland Roasted Chicken Sandwich: 10/5, loved its citrusy, fresh scent and perfect harmony of the ingredients! Basic but perfect sandwich. Highly Recommend!"

"If you follow me you know I’m all about flavor. Let’s just say this dish, the Ginger Chicken Salad, is for those who are flavor averse. It was bland but sounded like the flavor mix would be great! Nope! It was a bunch of cabbage with a few sprigs of greens and a few pieces of chicken sprinkled in. I also had the salted caramel babka roll, which was nice but didn’t taste like salted caramel. The Valrhona Mocha Latte was smooth and had a distinct chocolate taste. I liked it. The patio is lovely and the staff is friendly and helpful. I’m always torn about tipping for counter service but I did. I asked the cashier for his thoughts on the salad and asked the busser for a box. I would not return."
