"I had to try Trejo’s Donuts while visiting LA, hoping I was lucky enough to run into Danny Trejo. I was lucky enough to get some tasty donuts; my favorite flavors were ‘Mangonada’ with mango glaze, Tajín, and tamarind candy, very sweet and tangy. ‘Maple Pig’ glazed with maple and topped with candied bacon, very sweet and salty. I was also lucky enough to try the ‘El Diablo’ limited-edition donut with tart blood orange buttermilk glaze on black dough, spicy and sweet. I also had the Abuelita, Chocolate Foo, and a vegan Cinnamon crumb donut."

"Had to try this place while visiting WeHo! We tried Machete Maple and Coco Loco. I had better maple donut elsewhere but hubby liked the coconut donut. The iced matcha latte was good. The place was cute, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The store has a lot of souvenirs with Danny Trejo's face (t-shirt, hot sauce, coffee beans, cooking book, hat, apron, etc.) All in all, a one of a kind experience and you can only find this in LA (so far)."

"10/18/2025 I'm glad I finally have time to come here and try for the first time what they got. I've been wanting to see this place since I saw it on facebook. It's owned by the infamous "Johnny 23" who happens to be "the tortuga" a.k.a no other than Danny Trejo. I bought a box of donut (variety) and they're a little pricey ($31.81) but who cares? I like the owner. I brought them home with my niece and nephews and they liked them."

"Love the vibe. Cute little corner joint off Santa Monica blvd. Staff is super friendly, please pay them well, Danny! I ordered the mystery donut. It was aight, but I definitely want to try the mangoneada and the quinceañera donuts. Parking is small lot parking, I believe there’s metered street parking. Donuts are on the very sweet side, wish they had more sugar balanced or alternative sugar donuts. Coffee is good 👍 would come again."

"Tried TRE JO’s Coffee & Donuts for the first time and I was honestly impressed! The donuts were super fresh, I’ve never had that kind of flavor before. And the coffee? Surprisingly good! I usually go for Starbucks, but I really enjoyed theirs. Definitely coming back."
