from Google"I had such a great experience at Wolfsglen! The food honestly exceeded my expectations. The crispy truffle salmon rice was incredible — the perfect texture with the right amount of truffle flavor. The tostada was super fresh and flavorful, and the branzino might be the best I’ve had in LA. Perfectly cooked, delicate, and beautifully seasoned. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, and the cocktails were amazing too. Definitely a Westwood gem. I’ll be coming back!"
"A restaurant trying for upscale but stuck in limbo. Once dressed (with a different name) for fine dining, now leaning a blend of hotel lounge and suburban chain. The changes to its layout and menu have created a somewhat disjointed experience that is reflected in the food. It started strong with the calamari, the undisputed best dish of night. A satisfying crunch, silky squid, paired with a bright lemon aioli. The bone marrow & wagyu pastrami, while featuring good marrow, suffered from an overabundance of accompaniments that, frankly, obscured the pure meaty richness I was hoping for. The cacio e pepe attempted a classic with decent flavor profile, but the pasta was a touch too soft. It ends up forgettable. Unfortunately, the hangar steak, despite its promising appearance, was a chewy disappointment, a less than ideal conclusion to the entrees. Fries were fries. Add truffle, call it luxury. Nothing groundbreaking. Westwood’s not exactly brimming with great dinner spots, so Wolfsglen still holds some utility. Ultimately it left me wishing for the restaurant it used to be. Service was fine, but nothing felt personal. This place needs to decide who it wants to be. Right now it’s too expensive to be casual, too uneven to be refined."
"the food was delicious!! the hummus was exceptionally made with garlic and the vodka pasta was great. the decor and atmosphere inside were amazing as well; the only thing that tarnished this evening would be the service. our waiter was extremely rude overall, very unaccommodating to vegetarian diners, and unfortunately somewhat ruined the experience. would love to come here again with different service!"
"Excellent option before Geffen theater. Staff very attentive and aware of theater timing. Delicious tuna on sticky rice , kampachei credo, and brown butter labmeh. Reasonable wine prices."
"I'm at Wolfsglen for dinner, but where are the wolves? I came for the werewolves, disappointed. 🙂 But seriously, they just changed the menu and the items I targeted were gone. I started with the Kale Salad, which, honestly, was delicious, and I decided on the miso glazed short ribs. The Short rib was excellent, not over-seasoned or over-salted. Just right. The truffled mashed potatoes were also excellent. The next time I'm looking for Werewolves I'll stick to the Trader Vic's on Wilshire but the next time I'm looking for an excellent meal in LA, I'll be here. AhWhoooo!"
