"Been here before when it was under different owner, all vegetarian. It’s since been bought and new owner Anna meat has been added to the menu. Still has a great vibe and outdoor area, but the beloved veggie burger patty is gone. So if you’re looking forward to that, so sorry. Maybe we can pursuade the new ownership to bring it back. Lunch was still delicious, loved the carrot ginger soup, warm and yummy! My friend got the cheeseburger and loved it. Oh, and the bathrooms were perfectly clean :)"

"It’s was a beautiful Sunday and we planned for a Brunch with very good friends. Zinc has a nice patio and it’s located in a clean sections of the Arts district. So we were expecting a great experience. We got seated in short order but the table we got was partially in direct sun so a few of us got really roasted. Our server was a bit off their game or maybe new. We had to wait a while and as soon as I asked for a Bloody Mary, our server said let me check the think we are out. Well he didn’t return for a while and said yes we have some. Then he took everyone else’s drink order. The drinks came out intermittently, our friend had to wait for his beer. Our food order was taken and similar to drinks all plates came out staggered one at a time. Our manners are to wait until every person has their dish. Doesn’t work if they forget my wifeys lemon ricotta pancakes and they get delivered 15 minutes later. I didn’t even see if they comp anything on the bill. Other than that - food was good. Wifey enjoyed her pancakes the lemon tartness was really good. Suggestion that they serve a little more syrup. It wasn’t enough for the stack. The chilaquiles- I enjoyed but totally not what expected. Here is what their menu says two poached eggs, tortilla chips, salsa verde, avocado, anaheim chili, queso fresco, sour cream, romaine, pico de gallo. It tasted like a lime dressing as opposed to chile verde or Anaheim chile. It was good but not chilaquiles in my opinion, more like tortilla salad with a couple of poached eggs. The eggs were perfectly poached. Over it was an Ok experience but as you can tell nothing to RAVE about."

"So I’ve been coming here for about eight years and it is a great atmosphere however, they have the most inconsistent service, food, quality, and food temperature I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. I come back again and again, hoping the service and quality of the food brought to the table when improve because I enjoy the atmosphere on the patio however, time after time, I am continually disappointed and then many cases embarrassed because I bring friends for the first time. With so many great options around the downtown area, I think it’s time to change gears and give up on Zinc Cafe. Maybe the owners/management will read this and look at the variety of other reviews and course correct?"

"Came here for lunch and got in with no reservations on a Saturday. Sat outside on a warm sunny LA day. Food was good. Order the fries they are so good."
