What People Are Saying
from Google"A straightforward and unpretentious place that makes a good coffee. They even understood my northern accent which only gets stronger when I'm not in the UK. Nice spice of pumpkin spiced loaf. Pricey but it's in Mammoth so that's to be expected innit."
"Great coffe, delicious pastrys, the waffles are a must have! The lady attending us was super friendly and helpful. Its a cool place, very clean and organized"
"This is a pretty basic coffee shop. The coffee is fine and even though their coffee prices are higher than NYC, I've seen worse. The biggest disappointment was the food prices, mostly the $12.50 ham and cheese croissant. It comes on a soft squished croissant with a few slices of super thin ham and American cheese. This whole town is a joke. If you can go to any other ski town, you should do it. All of these shops are ripping off the visitors. This shop is another example of focusing on margins instead of volume. I will not be coming back."
"After hiking around Mammoth I was in search of some caffeine and luckily ran into Black Velvet Coffee in the Village. Nice little trendy spot with great staff and delicious drinks!"
"I’ve been to their first shop on the main road. Absolutely loved their coffee and atmosphere. A year later, found this second shop and it is still good as the last time! Their oatmilk latte was very smooth and I loved it. The staffs were also nice and friendly. My mom from South Korea wanted to give it a try to order in English. They were gentle and kind to respond."
