from Google & Yelp"**4.6/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ Diotima: Lovely Cafe with Standout Chocolate Cake & Croissants** Tucked in a sunny corner of its charming neighborhood, **Diotima** is the kind of **nice cafe** that instantly puts you in a good mood—soft natural light, minimalist wood accents, fresh flowers on every table, and the gentle hum of relaxed conversation ☕🌿. The **convenient location** makes it an easy stop for morning coffee runs, afternoon treats, or a quiet work session—street parking is usually doable, and it’s walkable from nearby shops. **Service was friendly**—the baristas and staff greet you with genuine smiles, happily warm up pastries, and offer thoughtful suggestions without rushing you. Everything moves at a calm, welcoming pace. The **chocolate cake** is the real star: rich, moist layers with deep cocoa flavor, silky ganache frosting that’s indulgent but not overly sweet, and a texture that melts in your mouth. The classic **croissant** is beautifully golden—shiny exterior, buttery aroma, and a soft, pull-apart interior that delivers solid satisfaction with your latte. Minor deductions keep it from perfection. I’d love **finer and fresher ingredients** overall—the chocolate could use even higher-quality cocoa, and the croissant butter a touch more premium depth. Pastries are tasty but not always **hot baked goods** straight from the oven (some feel room-temp rather than freshly warmed). A bit **more delicacy** in lamination and lightness would elevate them to elite status. Still, Diotima earns a strong 4.6 for being a consistently lovely cafe with standout chocolate cake and reliable croissants in a convenient, peaceful spot. It’s become my go-to for quiet mornings or sweet afternoons. I’ll be back regularly—next time eyeing that seasonal tart in the case."
"My husband has been following him and the bakery for a few years now and would mention driving over here for the pastries- we found ourselves free this Saturday morning and decided to make the trip! We got here around 10:30am and there was already someone first in line. We were second in line and got to go straight in at 11am. The owner was there to greet us when we walked in which was such a nice gesture. We ordered two boxes full of pastries (sometimes you gotta support and splurge) and drinks. We each liked our drinks, I especially loved the chocolate used in my chocolate milk. The pastries were DELICIOUS. My favorite was the candy croissant- due to the chocolate quality and crunchiness. Each pastry was so delicious and you can see the craft and quality that goes into each item. The main thing that BLEW ME AWAY were the cookies, I did not expect the cookies to be that good. They tasted like Christmas in the best way possible. My absolute favorite thing about the venue was the smell haha I wish they sold candles of the smell. The store was packed and we got a table but mainly because we were one of the first in the store to order and sit down. I hope they can expand one day and I wish them all the success because these pastries were some of the best I’ve ever had!"
"They have a huge variety of pastries. I ordered a few here 1. Blueberry brioche: Tastes good, but the bun was a bit dry. 4.5/5 2. Brownie amann: Our favorite! The crust is sweet and crunchy, with a delicious brownie filling inside. 5/5 3. Filled kouign-amann: The filling is nice, but the pastry itself is a bit soggy. It tastes more like a filled pastry than a true kouign-amann. I actually prefer the regular version. 4/5 4. Pain au chocolat: I always order a basic croissant to test a bakery, but this one was a bit disappointing. Bland and wasn't flaky. 2/5 5. Iced latte: Loved it! 5/5 Friendly staff and fast service!"
"Fantastic Turkey Sandwich and cinnamon roll. coffee is a 10/10 so good. Had to try the guava cream cheese and croissant candy. Everything is presented very nicely with chill vibe. I will come back to try other daily sandwiches, everything's so fresh."
"I visited Diotoma on a Friday around 11:30 AM. The parking lot is quite small so I had to circle for parking and there was a line. However, don't let that deter you from coming. There were so many delicious looking pastries, cookies, and cakes (I also saw some people had sandwiches). I had to wait about 20 min to order pastries and another 10 min or so for a coffee drink. So the entire visit took about 30 min. We got the pain cookie (pain suisse filled with brown butter butterscotch cookie dough), Korean salt bread, and mixed berry custard tart. The mixed berry custard tart is make with the same croissant dough so it's crispy and flakey, but it softens quickly due to the custard filling. However, the custard filling is generous and very silky. The Korean salt bread was a simple savory loaf. For me, the star was the pain cookie. The cookie dough was appropriately soft and chocolatey and the pastry was really flakey and crispy. I would go back just for the pain cookie but there was so many other interesting looking pastries. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you like pastries. I will definitely be swinging by here again the next time I'm in the area."
