from Google & Yelp"I'll preface this review by noting I've not yet tried their bingsu, so I might update this review later. So far, Sulbing Cafe has been a welcome addition to downtown Mountain View, offering unique drinks & desserts in an inviting atmosphere. The interior is well-designed and laid out. There are plenty of seats & tables, the bathrooms are clean & organized, and it's easy to see when your order is ready. There is Wi-Fi so you could come here to work (of course it's best to order something first ;) One quirk is that if dining in, you order through the kiosk, but if ordering to-go, you order at the counter. As far as drinks, I've tried the mocha and cloudy lattes. They are foamy & well-sweetened, though other cafes in downtown offer better espresso drinks. (Though, I don't think they have black sesame or orange lattes.. so could be worth a try here.) Now onto food. The vanilla cookie choux was dense & a bit colder than I anticipated, but still enjoyable. The chocolate croffle and mozzarella injeolmi toast were good but felt a tad overpriced for the quantity. If you're looking for something different in Mountain View, Sulbing Cafe is worth checking out."
"After a long day playing at a Halloween volleyball tournament, my team was looking for a sweet treat and we ended up going to Sulbing in Mountain View. I was initially surprised because I was unfamiliar with this location and much more used to the Santa Clara one. I think this location has a lot of potential as the setting is really nice and peaceful with lots of seats, but the quality of the shave ice was not as good. It was a bit clumpy and not light and fluffy. Regardless, the flavor was still good and I thought the vibe was really calm. It is also a bit inconvenient to grab extra utensils and napkins while they just have all the mini bowls sitting around."
"This is their second location. Sulbing Cafe is a bit off the beaten path. It's not exactly near the main street of Castro. It's a couple of blocks away. Parking can be an issue in downtown MV during peak hours. That's just an MV problem in general. One might have to walk a bit after securing parking. I think this location is bigger than the Santa Clara one. The inside has minimal decor and a good amount of seating. There is also some limited seating outside as well. I don't think a lot of folks know about this location or just haven't discovered it yet. It wasn't crowded at all on a late Friday afternoon. The Santa Clara location is a madhouse in comparison. I remember waiting an hour once on a hot summer day! My order came out fairly quickly. There was barely and interaction with the staff, I used the Kiosk to place my order and when it was ready the lady called my number and handed it to me. #Bingsu: ~ 10 Green Tea Chocolate Sulbing - 5/5 A brilliant balance of Chocolate and Green Tea. Not too sweet. The Chocolate tasted like Unsweetened Cacao or Dark Chocolate...not something I was expecting . I thought I was going to get Milk Chocolate instead. I'll be back..."
"The shop is nestled among residential houses. I like the kiosk ordering which ensures focus on food prep. The indoor seating area is clean, light and bright and cozy couples were tucked into booth tables. Your order number pops onto a screen so it feels pretty tranquil. I didn’t check it out but there might be back terrace seating. We opted for a table out in front of the store. The icy dessert was better than expected. The texture was so airy and light throughout (so sludgey watery pooling like you get with Hawaiian shave ice) It was a treat to eat!"
"Pretty close to Castro Street and easily accessible. My friend had the Bingsu which she loved, and I just had the coffee, which was just okay. You place your order on a kiosk, and then they call out your number once it’s ready. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating. The space is pretty large, but it filled pretty quickly on a weekend. Free Wi-Fi as well, if you want to work from there. Wouldn’t be my first choice for coffee, but if you’re feeling yourself, some shaved Ice, definitely come here."
