Interior of store exhibits include an old coffee roasting machine which was very cool. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The owner was born in Canada and played in the NHL but developed a passion for coffee via his travels. Neat story."

"My family and I were walking around Balboa Island and stumbled upon this cafe! Service was personal and kind. I ordered a hazelnut latte (iced) for my mom and we shared it. The latte ($7) came out quickly. It was so delicious! Not too sweet at all. We were able to make a quick bathroom stop and take pictures. The interior reminds me of an interior of a ship, and I noticed some people studying. They have the special drinks of the month featured in front of the register. There are roasted beans I may come back for! Thank you for your service!!"
