This morning, I didn’t need anything at the counter yet but had to use the restroom and when I asked for the key she said, you have to buy something. I said I come here every time I’m in Oakland and will order something later for lunch when I’m done with my work. She said, I don’t like your attitude and refused to give me the key. So sad but also the state of downtown oakland is to blame as well."

"Absolutely wonderful little cafe! Quick with delicious espresso drinks and super tasty pastries. Best almond croissants I have ever had! The sandwiches are also spectacular and super fairly priced. The lady who runs the place is so very sweet and on top of things. She also sells handmade jewelry, which is all beautiful. Great for gifts - to others or yourself. I will absolutely be back if I’m ever in the area again!"
