What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Friendly employees, cool vibe on the corner. Coffee that is so over roasted and bitter it makes Folgers look like a specialty light roast. If only Ain't Normal was open at 6am..."
"I just moved to the area and enjoyed my first visit to Cole’s for their New Guinea espresso roast. I finished my first bag mid-fill up of my portafilter so I walked over and purchased a small bag of the New Guinea roast to finish the fill up and purchased a second bag to try a new flavor. After I put the beans in the hopper, I began to grind the machine made a loud crunch noise mid grind. I looked inside and found rocks (pictured) lodged in the grinder and completely ruining my Breville machine. I called Cole’s, emailed them, and went back to show them the rocks they sold me in the bag. The associate said she was going to speak to her manager and they would call me after she confirmed these were rocks and from the bag. Few days went by, no call. I went back, the associate wanted a picture of the machine. I showed them a picture and they again said the manager would call. A few days later, no call. I went back again, the associate said I could leave a message for the manager. Still…no…call. I’m out a $700 Breville machine and was looking for Cole’s to help with the repair cost or replace my machine but I’ve gotten radio silence over their severe lapse of quality control. Avoid this shop at all costs."
"Was really pleasantly surprised by my egg salad sandwich and coffee here. Definitely a quieter more lowkey alternative to Philz across the street. Accessible outlets are a big help and there’s a ton of outdoor seating. Usually pretty crowded in the morning but it settles in the afternoon"
"Thank you Mike. I hadn't had a coffee in days (and I love coffee!). This is, beyond any doubt, the most delicious cup of coffee I've ever had... Honestly can't remember enjoying one more."
"My wife likes a non-dairy macchiato, I usually drink an Americano. The espresso is usually pretty good. Unfortunately it's so dependent on the barista. One day we get delicious drinks, another day they're on the bitter side. Also, the almond croissant left us disappointed. For one, they are half the size as we get from other cafés for only about $1 more. But that could be looked over except for the almost complete lack of marzipan! The plus side of the croissant? It's the only almond croissant in the area that isn't covered in powdered sugar. While we won't order another croissant, we'll be back for more coffee as the place has a great feel and the service is good."
"Got a hot allspice latte with almond milk today - super yum. Just the right amount of spice/flavor without ridic amount of sugar. High price tag at $6.95..."
