What People Are Saying
from Google"Excellent crafted coffees, matchas and teas. The coffees are drip and made to order, the matcha is excellent. Had some pastries and they’re tasty as well but the drinks are the signature. Nice, friendly workers. The inside is very cute but limited seating, seems like it’s much more of a to-go place. It’s kind of easy to miss outside so look for its yellow awning neighbor. I usually walk here but did drive once and found parking rather challenging as it’s a tight one lane street. If you see a spot, grab it or park up the street past the shop. But don’t let parking deter you from these fantastic drinks."
"Hung out here for a day while catching up on some work. It's a nice little shop... some bar sitting areas along the window-side of the cafe and found a place to charge up my laptop a bit. I loved the House of Phin classic! Great drink- so sweet and tasty and perfect for sipping on as the ice melts away. I also tried the pork floss bun, which tastes just as it sounds and I loved it! Reminded me of a green onion bun with that added pork floss flavor. For all of what International is like, it was a sunny and quiet day along the street which made for a nice working atmosphere. :) Friendly folks who greet everyone walking in and make some great snacks! I do wish they had a bathroom as it makes it tough for hanging around too long."
"Great service and tasty coffee. Got a ca phe coco crush and it was not too sweet. The pastries also looked very appetizing—will try next time. 7/26: tried their pandan coffee and it was also amazing!"
"I stumbled on House of Phin when I was in the area picking up a banh mi sandwich. And I am so glad that I did. The staff was delightful, the space was super cute, and per the barista's suggestion, I ordered the Hanoi Egg Coffee, which was delicious. Strong, creamy, and not too sweet. Can't wait to go back to try more."
"Tldr; staff are super friendly, drip coffee is amazing. The vietnamese coffee here is drip-only, so you get that fantastic deep, chocolate-y flavor in every sip. Look how big those phin filters are! I've been here twice and had the house of phin signature, hanoi egg coffee and the pandan everything. The way to go here is definitely the drip drinks - the pandan flavor was good, just a little too sweet for my preference without the coffee to balance it out. Took a star off for the food. The pastries offered all looked delicious and sounded like wonderful flavors (loved that there was mango, ube, and pandan on the menu) but they are not encased and there were flies on the pastries when we looked. We did opt for a pandan waffle which is made fresh, and it was good! Flavor was there and it had a nice chewy texture, but I've had better waffles (hard to beat an egg waffle). Parking is limited and i'm not the best neighborhood, so just plan in advance. If you can swoop a street spot in front that's the way to go. But I will definitely be back! The coffee will be a weekend staple for sure."
