from Google"I have been living in Jack London sq for 27 years. I was extremely happy that a new Market moved into the area. I went last week and I tried the mushroom spinach and egg muffin I added bacon and avocado it was amazing. I decided to go back today and order it again and was not giving the same quality service or meal. The employee was the only worker he didn't wash his hands and wore the same gloves after using the register. He also was upset that I brought my breakfast sandwich back because it was cold and the bread was hard. Don't know if i will return based on his attitude alone i was afraid to have it fixed. Just a suggestion would be to add a extra employee during lunch and breakfast time."
"No idea why this place has good reviews. The breakfast burrito only has half of the ingredients that they list on the menu and looks nothing like the picture. It will cost you $15 and still leave you hungry. Plus the guy running the place seems to want everyone to leave and never come back. It's the most convenient place in the neighborhood but I'm sorry to say that I won't bother going there again :("
"Was killing time waiting for train looking for something to eat. There’s not to much down in Jack London square these days. Saw this market deli near station and went for it. Club sandwich was pretty awesome and reasonably priced and came with chips. Good service too. Cheaper and 1000x than what you will get on train. Also sells beer and wine and selection looked ok. Would be a good place to acquire these type of provisions before train to save some money on train markup on beverages. Wink."
"We tried bagel and pistachio cream croissant and paid $13.50. Croissant is not even Costco level. Pistachio cream is about a thin layer of pistachio and some cream on top of the croissant. Nothing inside of it. Bagel is good but I can find the same from a grocery store as well."
"This little spot has quickly become my favorite. I love the sandwiches. The bread is soft and not so heavy like other local shops, the ingredients are super fresh and they have great options. Breakfast options are great too, the blueberry loaf is delicious and not too sweet, and the egg and cheese croissant is just perfect! The owner is super friendly and so sweet- exactly the type of neighbor you want. Prices are fair, there are tons of healthy options, and the vibes are so friendly! He even has cookies for the doggo’s. Highly recommend!"
