"This place carries an interesting selection of uncommon and premium products and groceries. The butcher and fishmonger have especially fresh items. The Bakery is not too shabby either. An enjoyable shopping experience."

"The food is wonderful, here. The environment is beautiful. I’ve been a local for over 10 years. My mother owned a home in the Montclair hills and I’ve lived in Berkeley and Oakland for a very long time. I’ve always been coming here, but most recently, since I moved back out here and started coming to the Market Hall, the security guards are profiling me, and it’s a horrible feeling because I’m not doing anything wrong! Amir, the manager of operations is a horrible person. I’ve already discussed the issue with him, but he’s made it much worse, in my opinion and did not help. To constantly profile a young woman, based on what? That’s discrimination. I come in, twice and week and buy food. I spend, around $200-400 a week, at the market hall. I bring business and I’m always tipping the employees, buying flowers, coffee, in that area, but I get bad treatment because of how I may dress, or perhaps, it’s the car I drive, but I know I dress just fine & drive a nice car, so perhaps, that’s what it is, but you guys can get a lawsuit for this. That may be the next step I have to take."

"Why don't I usually shop here? Because it is for rich people. Of course all the fare is great. But even for what it is, it's overpriced. The service is OK, albeit understaffed. The other patrons can be friendly. Except for the ones who are so self absorbed that they step in front of you. Yeah, standard rich people in their store."
