"While visiting Palm Springs, my wife suggested we try La Jefa Café after seeing it pop up on social media. With all the buzz, we figured it was worth checking out. When we arrived, the café was pretty busy and we ended up waiting about 20 minutes in line just to place our order. We ordered a cardamom matcha latte and a butterscotch matcha latte. One small but notable pet peeve for me: even after clearly spelling out my name, it was still written incorrectly on the cup—not a dealbreaker, but a bit frustrating. As for the drinks, they were okay, but nothing memorable. The matcha didn’t stand out compared to other cafés we’ve tried and felt more average than expected given the hype. The presentation was nice, but flavor-wise, it didn’t quite deliver. The café itself has a cute aesthetic, fancy cups, and a small but pleasant seating area—definitely Instagram-friendly. Prices were on the higher side, but that’s fairly expected for Palm Springs, so no surprises there. Overall: Not a bad experience, but also not one I’d go out of my way to repeat. Worth trying once if you’re nearby and curious, but don’t expect anything mind-blowing. 📍 Pro tip: Come for the vibe, not necessarily the matcha."

"I did a quick stop before heading back to LA and as a Latina the cafés name caught my attention. The ambiance is amazing and I was excited to try the chai-chata drink since I love both chai and horchata. The drink was okay but I expected more of a cinnamon hint or taste and richer flavor. Two other people who joined me ordered the palm springs oasis and another drink (I forgot the name) and they weren't impressed."

"There was a long wait for a restaurant we were trying to have brunch at and the group desperately needed coffee so we walked here. Upon walking in, the set up & decor is lovely! There was a line for coffee - once a customer got their order and the line reduced, someone new would walk in and the line would grow again - essentially, the line never ended the whole time I was there. I view that as a great sign! That means it’s a great establishment & the coffee must be worth it. I got their drip coffee, black, I love to taste the beans. I’ve had my fair share of coffees at different coffee shops, this one was amazing! So glad we were able to stop in & try this place out. If you’re looking to get caffeinated then this is the spot!"

"Line was long but that meant the food was good right? So we waited and ordered some of the favorites and talked about Palm Springs and our mini getaway. Good breakfast spot for anyone that wants to grub in the morning."
