"I was picking up my shoes next door when all of a sudden I saw the sign: Pasadena Roots, Family Owned and a Quetzal. I immediately stopped in my tracks! I was compelled to walk in and ask what is this beautiful place? A kind and friendly face greeted me behind the counter as I looked around at all the beautiful plants and the gorgeous artisan objects. We began chatting as if we knew each other and were catching up. At some point even “TMI” was said, that’s how genuine this conversation was. "We tried the Churro Latte and La Chula Special. Both were delicious! If you like sweeter coffee drinks you will love La Chula Special and if you prefer a subtle sweetness with more espresso flavor, the Churro Latte is for you. I liked that there were immunity boost shots sold here. Looks like they make them there too. You can also find plants and pots to buy. This place is pet friendly. Overall it I a beautifully crafted coffee shop with Guatemalan decor. There is one table outside if you want to sit with a friend. It is such a cute vibe. The owners are also very sweet and welcoming!"
