"This is completely re-done! They have a great selection of hot and cold drinks, snacks even a soft serve ice cream machine. I got a matcha for $5 and it was delicious; also a large pumpkin walnut muffin for $4.50. The employee working was friendly. They have seating out on the deck overlooking the lake as well as a few tables inside. We will definitely be going back."

"The $10 parking fee for non-Poway residents is only collected on the weekends. The Lookout is cute and the employees are very nice. The menu is pretty limited, I wish there were more selections. My Dad had the ham sandwich and I had the veggie pesto. The homemade chips were very good. The reason for 3 stars is the greens/lettuce on the sandwiches was spring mix and it was not fresh. There were many, many rotten pieces that I needed to pick out. It would probably be better for the cafe to use Romaine or another lettuce that stays fresher longer."

"Wish I had read the reviews instead of just looking at the star rating. Yes, I would have loved to have known about the $10 parking!! It came up in a restaurant search while I was in the area. It’s more of a glorified snack bar inside a tackle shop. Staff was very friendly but food was nothing special. Definitely skip the dry inedible waffles."
