What People Are Saying
from Google"Went to have breakfast at a delightful little spot tucked at the end of Redondo Pier and I must say--it's got character in spades. Think less Santa Monica gloss, more laid-back local soul. The view? Not your typical postcard-perfect ocean vista, but something far better: a slice of real pier life, complete with fishermen, families, and the gentle chaos of locals doing their thing. It's the kind of scene that feels more like a well-loved episode of The OC than a tourist trap (so if you want an unobstructed, post card view of the ocean, this is not for you). The interior is adorably cozy, the vibe is warm, and the staff? Absolute rockstars--hardworking, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We got the Chef's Breakfast and the Shrimp Fajitas, and let me tell you: the portions are not for the faint of stomach. You'll walk out blissfully stuffed, possibly looking like you smuggled a watermelon under your shirt. Oh, and the coffee--surprisingly good. None of that bitter afterthought you find at other breakfast joints. Would I come back? In a heartbeat--and I'm dragging friends and family with me to soak in the local flavor. Ratings across the board: Location & Interior: 5/5Service: 5/5Food: 5/5 Bonus points: they also run the bait shop next door. So if you're feeling adventurous (or just want to cosplay as a local), you can rent gear and get tips straight from the pros. Breakfast and a fishing tale? Yes, please."
"I got their spicy garlic mussels and the mussels were not only cleaned really well but we're also very tasty with a nice spicy kick to it and 2 pieces of garlic bread. My mom got the tilapia plate with steamed vegetables and a salad and the portion was perfect. Unlike other establishments in the area they dont force a gratuity charge or extra tax charge on your bill. Lovely service and atmosphere overall. Definitely coming back again"
"It seems like most of the people coming in - just like us - are here for the O.C. nostalgia and want to sit in Ryan's corner right across from the entrance - and sadly that's the only appeal the place has. Apparently nothing was done inside or outside since they shot the show in the early 2000s and the food... the tuna on the sandwich was cold in the middle and they might serve the worst fries I ever ate. And the coke only consisted of ice cubes. But the fish was very good at least. And the staff was friendly."
"I’m not gonna be original. I love Redondo Coffe Shop because The O.C was filmed there :) it is always nice to stop by and enjoy American food and the vibe or the cafe and the pier!"
"If you’re a oc California fan, this is a must go. Not only because of the vibe, but also because of the food. Really enjoyed the sunset here!"
