What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"The Brick Cafe is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots near Downtown Sacramento. The food and drinks are consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. One standout is the Fish Tacos — we especially love it with light toppings and a squeeze of fresh lime that doesn’t overpower the flavor of the fish. Every bite is packed with bold, fresh flavor, making it a must-order every time we visit. My wife described the Espresso Martini as “delicious, strong, and rich with coffee flavor,” and I couldn’t agree more. It’s the perfect pick-me-up to keep the good times going. We also tried the White Chocolate Mocha, which leaned on the sweeter side, yet still had a smooth, rich coffee taste. We loved it so much, we ended up ordering another round! The customer service was truly next level — friendly, kind, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and the coffee offerings. It was one of the best service experiences we’ve had in a long time. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast , cocktails, or just a great cup of coffee, The Brick Cafe is absolutely worth the visit. I will be back for happy hour."

"Brick Café (inside Brickland) is hands down one of my favorite spots in Sacramento. It’s Afghan-inspired and seriously such a gem. The people here are incredible. The staff is always so kind, welcoming, and honestly just the sweetest. Customer service is unmatched, and the baristas go above and beyond every time. Now for the drinks - my top two favorites are the Silk Road Latte and the Fig Matcha. The Silk Road Latte has these authentic Afghan flavors that are so unique and delicious!! I crave it daily :) And the Fig Matcha? Made with ceremonial grade matcha and the fig gives it this perfect twist. Both are 10/10. The vibe here is amazing, the drinks are next-level, and the people make it even better. I’m here pretty much every weekend since their soft opening at this point lol! P.s I’ve also had the rose matcha and that has to be my other top contender!! It’s AMAZING"

"We came in as a group of 6-7 and all ordered the similar drinks, but unfortunately, almost every single one was made differently. The effort put into making the drinks felt very basic, and the consistency just wasn’t there. We also paid for cold foam, which was supposed to be included—cold foam usually sits on top of the drink, but as you can see from the photo, there was none. When we brought it up, we were told it was “in the drink,” which defeats the point of cold foam entirely. I really wanted to like this place but I had so many other friends these last few days experience the same. I think there’s a lot of room for improvement when it comes to quality control. Since you’re just starting out, focusing on making sure the drinks are consistent and taste good should be a top priority. That being said, the decor and ambience were really cute, and it’s great to see Afghan culture represented in a modern, welcoming space."

"Coffee & Matcha: 3/5 Confusion: 10/10 We came here because the place was advertised as “Afghan inspired.” Unfortunately, nothing about the menu or atmosphere reflected Afghan culture. The coffee was decent, but the food was not halal, and there was even pork on the menu — something completely against Afghan Muslim traditions. This feels like false advertising. If the concept is an American café, that’s perfectly fine, but please don’t market it as “Afghan inspired” when it misrepresents the culture."

"I finally got to check out this cozy cafe in East Sacramento. The staff were very friendly, the tea was delicious, I was mostly impressed with their eats menu. There were so many amazing options that I didn't even know what to get. I ended up choosing the summer plate and didn't realize there was pork in it, and the chef remade the entire dish for me! It was very kind of them to accommodate for my mistake. I will definitely be back to try some of the other items on their menu!"
