The manager Jennifer, along with Blake and the entire staff, went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and supported. They were friendly, kind, and created such a warm and inviting atmosphere that made our guests feel right at home. We ordered from the platter menu, and the food was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sharing at a group event. Everything came out beautifully and on time, which made the evening flow seamlessly. The drink and food are so good. They go above and beyond what they have to: house-made ranch dressing, fat lardons of pork belly in the chopped salad rather than just sliced bacon, creative salads that you can combine in a sampler, a variable menu keeping things interesting. "I went with a friend for breakfast and ordered Bernardo's Benedict. The food was tasty, and I especially enjoyed the clean, contemporary atmosphere. Before arriving, I thought it was a sit-down restaurant, but I didn't mind having to order the food at the counter and then sitting down. They give you a choice of indoor or outdoor seating, both areas being very nice right there on the revitalized R street. I'll be going back sometime."
