What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Came to Forever by 18 Grams expecting a hearty brunch and left with mixed feelings — some great, some disappointing. First, credit where it’s due: the coffee was excellent. The Vietnamese hazelnut iced coffee and ube latte were both smooth, flavorful, and clearly a strong point for this place. The cookies (ube and chocolate chip) were also amazing — easily one of the highlights and absolutely worth grabbing. My wife’s egg breakfast sando was good, well-balanced, and satisfying. Everything was beautifully plated — presentation is definitely on point. That said, I was honestly disheartened by the portion sizes, especially after specifically asking the cashier what the biggest, most filling meal was. I was recommended the loco moco, and I have to be transparent here: it was nothing special. It was literally a hamburger patty with gravy and an egg, and the portion felt small for the price. It looked nice, but didn’t feel like a “go-to” or standout dish, especially when you’re hungry and expecting something hearty. The katsu chicken bowl was similar — very pretty, decent flavor, but again lighter than expected for what you’re paying. Overall, this place shines when it comes to coffee, sweets, and aesthetics. If you’re coming for drinks, cookies, or a lighter brunch, you’ll probably enjoy it. If you’re coming in hungry and looking for a truly filling meal, just know that the portions may not match the price or expectations. I’d definitely come back for the coffee and desserts — I just hope the savory portions either become more generous or are better represented when recommendations are made."
"I ordered food to go. We ordered their breakfast sandwich, chicken sandwich with fries, two coffees with almond and oat milk, and pandan cookie. The sandwiches were great, fries were a but undercooked and the cookie was absolutely delicious. Coffee was tasty as well. Total bill about $50."
"I've come here on a few weekends and I've really enjoyed it every time. Fun fusion brunch food and coffee. The picture is the Monte Cristo and it came with a home made blackberry jam that was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend that, their Vietnamese coffee, and Ube muffin."
"In a nutshell; Good cafe to stop by at downtown/midtown sac if youre ever strolling in the area. It was rather lively entering the cafe, was a bit busy but there wasnt that too bad of a line, though one can imagine of how the layout is, it can get rather crowded around the area where you place your order. Theres a little outdoor area if one wants to dine outside and the exit is also located in that small area. The food and beverages though has to be the highlight of the cafe, having been to 18 grams, one expects the same or better quality of food experience and it doesnt disappoint. Food didnt take too long. Drinks were good. Overall a very pleasant experience. Parking can still be a pain considering the area but besides that. Good stuff all around."
"Stopped by the Huey Café pop-up at Forever by 18 Grams in Sacramento and it was such a good vibe. The space was cozy and welcoming, and the collab felt seamless. The drinks were on point and the food had that fresh, thoughtful touch you can tell was made with care. Really loved the mix of flavors—definitely worth checking out the site if you get the chance."
"A pretty big spot, there's plenty of seating. You order up front and get a number and food is brought to your table and you give them your number once you..."
