"I found Little Morocco Café by searching “Moroccan food” in Sacramento on Yelp. I had never heard of it before, which honestly shocked me,because I’m Moroccan, and I’ve been craving an authentic taste of home for a very long time. I live about two hours away, so before making the drive, I decided to call and confirm what I was seeing on their menu. I noticed they offered multiple types of tagine and msemen, anyone familiar with Moroccan food knows these dishes take hours of dedication and hard work to prepare, so I was genuinely surprised to see them on a restaurant menu. They confirmed everything was available, and I decided to head out. While driving, I ran into traffic. Around 2:15 pm, I checked their page again and realized they closed at 3:00 pm, and my ETA wasn’t until around 2:45 pm. I called back and explained that I was coming from far away and had been craving Moroccan food for so long. Without hesitation, they told me it was no problem to still welcome us in, and kindly asked if we could order over the phone so they could start cooking ahead of time. I ordered the chicken tagine, lamb tagine, msemen, bastilla, fries, and Moroccan tea, and they said no problem at all. When we arrived, it took a few minutes to find parking, but once that was sorted out, they served our food within just a couple of minutes. We came in close to closing time, yet they were so kind and welcoming, and that alone already meant a lot. The moment I walked in, I was so happy. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, and the smell when you walk in is incredible. The inside is absolutely beautiful, filled with Moroccan décor that feels warm, comforting, and heartwarming. It honestly felt like stepping into Morocco. They even had a large TV playing scenes from back home, which made the experience even more special. One small detail that really stood out to me was being served water that wasn’t ice cold. That almost never happens, and it made the experience even more enjoyable. Then came the food, and it completely exceeded expectations. The tagines tasted authentic and full of deep, rich flavor. The bread was fresh, warm, and perfect. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The bastilla deserves a special mention, it was so, so good. In terms of fine Moroccan dining, I have never experienced anything like this. While we were eating, we noticed that an older couple had their sleeves rolled up, doing everything, cooking, serving, cleaning, with the help of a younger gentleman. They were all incredibly kind, welcoming, and hardworking. They stayed open for us for an extra 30 minutes or so and never once made us feel rushed. The food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality were all top-notch. This place is truly a hidden gem in Sacramento, a little portal back home to Morocco. I am very grateful for this experience and can’t wait to come back with my family and to tell more of my Moroccan friends about it. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back."

"Amazingly good food. Got the Chicken Tagine, Tangia (Beef), Mseman, Mint tea. Authentic taste- the bread and eggplant with the Tangia was excellent. Service was amazing. It felt like being hosted in someone’s house in Morocco. Must try."

"Delicious food, great coffee, great service with a family business vibe. What more can you ask for? I had the chicken kebab with rice and salad. The chicken was so tender, I could cut each piece easily with my fork. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend this place for lunch. I also had a double shot cappuccino with a slice of almond cake. Delicious and not too sweet!"

"This is our second time in Sacramento in the last year and it does not disappoint. We will be back! Quality of the food is THE best! It’s fresh and delicious. The service is friendly and the place is overall welcoming. I did not take pictures of everything but here is the Cesar salad with chicken and the mint lemonade ☺️ We also had the special of the day which were lamb chops as well as their almond cake!"

"Excellent brunch spot. Eggs were cooked to a jammy consistency and the tomato's were stewed well (not too runny). The bread was pillowy with a crunch..."
