Their grilled cheese sandwiches are outstanding—perfectly crispy and toasted on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with cheese that delivers an impressive, arm-length cheese pull. Clearly made with care and quality ingredients. We tried the Firehouse and BayArea Brisket Sandwich which I was expecting to have more meat though. It was equally good nonetheless. Tomato soup is great as well. Perfect for pairing with the grilled cheese sandwich or on its own. The chai latte is excellent—rich, well-spiced, and not overly sweet—and the coffee is equally impressive: smooth, flavorful, and consistently well-crafted. Whether you are stopping by for comfort food, a great latte, or a solid cup of coffee, Shift Coffee Shop delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended."

"Been hearing about this place awhile and just now experienced this gem in Uptown Sacramento aka Old North Sacramento for a meeting. Brisket grilled cheese is a slam dunk! No BBQ sauce needed! Paired with a delicious flat white (was prettier when I first got it, I added stevia then tried me best to recreate the beauty) brewed with NAKED ☕ coffee your can't go wrong! We also had the tomato soup which we just couldn't stop taking about (sorry no photo). Patio areas, and vibin' music to boot! Best to park on the right side, exit thru the alley."
