What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"First time visiting one of these places and we really enjoyed it. Very reasonable prices for an excellent cup of coffee. We came at opening and the music was very calming and made for an excellent experience. Highly recommend!"
"Food is lovely and the staff are friendly and attentive. For example, I gave them the same name for a second part of an order, and the staff accidentally forget about it. When I reminded them, they immediately gave us an extra fruit + granola, as well as a gift card for our next order (which was really nice, but unfortunately we were leaving the same day). Overall, a really nice place to eat, or simply have coffee with kind people. Thanks!"
"We ended up at Achilles Coffee Roasters @ The Rey after leaving the zoo. The original place we wanted to try was closed, and since we already paid the meter, we decided to walk over here since it was close by. We got there a few minutes before 2 PM, not realizing they closed at that time. One of their other locations showed different hours, so we didn’t expect them to be closing. They still took our order without saying anything about it, which we appreciated. We ordered two regular matchas with oatmilk and vanilla syrup. Unfortunately, both drinks were really disappointing. They had barely any flavor, tasted watered down, and the oatmilk was bland. For $15.50 total, it felt overpriced for what we got. Also, there was a fly around the drink counter, which was a little off-putting. We were really hoping for something refreshing, but the drinks just didn’t hit the mark. Wouldn’t come back based on this experience."
"I’m visiting from out of town and I saw this place online and thought I’d check it out, Nico helped me pick out the Vanilla cinnamon latte. It was sooo good! Seriously great quality coffee. Highly recommend coming here, great coffee, great service, and a good location."
"Achilles Roasters is solid for coffee. There’s a couple more in San Diego and I tried one more. This one here is a hole in the wall place and you can sit outside but construction work on a high-rise over the street makes you want to stay as little as possible. The bagels are great and you can choose your bagel type and fillings."
"This location is lovely with great seating! I stop by sometimes before class for a drink. Their sandwiches and breakfast burrito are delicious! The staff is..."
