What People Are Saying

"Where Baci Coffee really excels is in their incredibly well-thought-out interior design and atmosphere, and their high level of customer service. The food and coffee itself do, however, leave something to be desired. The design and structure of this shop is impressive. It’s an expansive restaurant, coffee shop, and store that fills out an entire apartment building lobby. They have a curated selection of Italian goods—similar to what you’d find in Mona Lisa or Filippi’s in Little Italy—plus numerous tables, a decorated dining room, and a fake tree where you can pin cards with dreams written on them. The woman who took my order was very friendly and cordial. I got an Americano and a “Casanova Chicken Melt.” The Americano was decent, but not as good as some of the more selective shops in town. It lacked the uniform flavor of a high-quality roast and didn’t have recognizable flavor notes. The sandwich was decent, but kind of tasted like an elevated chicken salad sandwich. Overall, I think this is a cool place. They obviously put in a serious effort. However, there’s room to grow in terms of coffee and food selections. There some structural and quality issues with the food, and I hope they can elevate their menu to a level that matches that incredible curation of the shop’s design and atmosphere."

"This place is a hidden gem! Came across it by searching for a strawberry matcha latte near me, so I came to get one. The latte was so delicious not too sweet, it was perfectly balanced with the matcha. I got a savory and sweet croissant and both were amazing. The location is hidden behind some buildings but the Google Maps did a great job at taking me to the site. Inside the cafe is so beautiful and the atmosphere is great, they had jazz music playing, it’s quiet and has many different seating areas which was nice! I really loved this spot and will be returning soon. 10/10"

"Really cute coffee spot! It's a huge cafe with several different seating areas. With a really nice atmosphere, it's a great spot for a coffee date or meetup. The music is usually chill jazz, classical, or otherwise some sort of chill instrumental music. This also makes it a nice place to study or get some work done; they do have wifi, and there are outlets though only a few- like maybe 5 throughout the whole cafe, even though it's so big. The coffee itself is really good; I got the chai mocha. It wasn't overly sweet, and even with the chai and mocha I could still taste the coffee strongly. It's definitely a place worth checking out if you want something better than San Diego's average mediocre/below mid coffee. They also have decaf as an option. There was also a self-serve water refill pitcher which I really appreciated."

"Order the following to go: Drinks: Pistachio Cold Brew $9.79 Dolce Kisu $9.99 Pastry (croissants): Donatello Apple Pie $8.99 Strawberry Roma $11.29 The ambience is nice, to bad only two employees working the counter, taking orders, cleaning tables, bringing partial orders to the tables. Waiting time for two cold coffees 30 minutes and for the croissants 40 minutes from the time I order. The hype is just that the drinks where okay. Nothing special not authentic Italian drinks. As an Italian person was expecting more from this Italian cafe. The Donatello Apple Pie croissant was not fluffy at all it was flat or smash like a flat bread with two or thee pieces of green apple and apple puree with lots of sugar. The Strawberry Roma croissant was dry, with very thin strawberries and very little cheesecake. Not complaining about the prices been expensive however, the quality of food is very poor and has to much to desired. To bad because the place is cute however, the parking its another issue. Only two or three parking spots assigned to the Cafe. There is contruction going over the front of the building. While inside the Cafe waiting for my to go order, someone try to open the closed electrical driver mirror of the truck by forcing it to open while was left closed. Breaking the electrical mirror motor on the driver side. The cost of replacing the electrical mirror motor of a 3500 HD Truck will cost almost $900.00 parts and labor. There are no security cameras outside the building and the tenants from the building are very rude when I ask a tenant looking through a window if the individual have seen anything. Not sure why the owner of the Cafe had the desired to open a Cafe inside an apartment complex. If tenants are going to vandalize your vehicle while you are in the Cafe it's not worth going to this place. Save you money. Do not recommend at all."

"I found this place on Instagram from an influencer and I am so glad I decided to finally come visit. I ordered two drinks two entrées and one croissant. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The vibe was excellent. I did make a reservation before coming, but I ended up not needing it, but doesn’t hurt to make one. There was free parking clearly labeled right out front easy to find with the signs from the road. Highly recommend! "It's SUCH a cute getaway here. Like a small little hideout. I went on a little spontaneous outing with my family and stumbled across this cafe. It was not..."
