from Google & Yelp"First time here and already want to go back again. The matcha is high quality, perfect color, and flavor profile. Many unique flavors and other great menu items. I tried their seasonal cinnamon roll matcha and wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about the earthy notes of matcha mixing with the sweetness of the brown sugar syrup, but I wanted to try something new. SO happy I did. The cream cheese frosting topping was so yummy and the matcha was not overpowering, you get a perfect balance of both cinnamon roll and matcha flavors. I had a sip of my friend’s banana pudding latte, which both of us love as well. Our barista gave us great and honest recommendations as well. Will be back again!!"
"Loved this place. I really appreciate when coffee shops offer fun drink options that don’t have coffee. I ordered the banana pudding matcha and it was so good. The topping was delicious and mixed perfectly with the matcha, which wasn’t overly sweet. It’s a small spot, but it’s in a great location and definitely worth stopping by."
"As someone who likes sweet drinks, I really liked this place! I heard a lot about the banana pudding matcha so I tried that first. It was pretty good, sweet and so yummy. I saw some people criticizing the sweetness and milkiness of the matcha here, but honestly it seems like the quality of the matcha is good. Maybe not the best in the world but it works. For this particular drink you could definitely taste both the pudding and the matcha. It was like the perfect blend. I also tried the salmon toast, it was good but I felt like it was too salty. The quality of the bread and the garnishes kinda made up for it though. I never would’ve thought to try something like salmon toast, it had like radishes, avocado and other toppings which were so refreshing. I highly recommend it! Later I tried the carrot cake latte, I was amazed by the first sip 😭 whatever beans they use are soooooo good. I was curious to see how a latte could be carrot cake flavored, and well it is pretty delicious. The latte is sweet. Definitely feels strong though. So I would recommend their lattes to anyone that likes strong espresso! I can totally see it working well in a mocha. The specialty drinks are kinda pricey but it makes sense because in my opinion they are gourmet. The presentation is 10/10. I’m excited to see what other flavors they come up with! I think it’s a good idea to come here if you want a fancy sweet drink on a calm day. Also it is a small cafe inside but there’s outdoor seating! And the couple of times I’ve been there they played Spanish rock which is pretty cool :)"
"Loved!!!! Got the popular Banana Cream iced Matcha. Friend got an iced regular matcha with oatmilk. I am picky about the taste and texture of my matchas… and these hit the spot! The girls here know how to serve your preferences, whether you like sweeter or earthier-tasting matchas. After sitting and sipping outside for a while, One of the girls working at the time told us she was giving us a free matcha!!! She wanted us to try a strawberry iced matcha with their new honey cold foam on top… it was an interesting taste profile, but delicious. and I am still thinking about it!!! :) If i am to come back here, I probably wouldn’t come here to do work because the music is pretty loud… just come to sip on matchas and yap with friends!!"
"Located in San Diego’s East Village. This place is known for their flavored Matchas varying in sweetness. From Honey Cream to banana puddin to strawberry and many more. They also have the regular cafe drinks but I've only tried the matcha so far. I tried the Honey cream matcha ( See photo) and boy is it creamy. It's on the unsweetened side, most of the sweetness comes from the cream. If you want more sweetness just ask. They have a drink sweetness meter so it's easy to decide, if you do wanna add a Lil bit sweetness, just ask ♡ I'll he back to try the food and treats 😋"
"Cafe Alessie seriously surprised me. I tried the Double Matcha (it's seasonal right now, which I really hope changes because it deserves to stay forever)...."
