from Google & Yelp"Great new little coffee shop - their coffee and matcha drinks are both delicious. I loved the golden crumble latte (smooth and not too sweet) and the strawberry matcha (nice concentrated flavor with fresh strawberries and good sweetness level), and my partner liked the fresh banana drinks. No extra charge for non-dairy milk! Not much room to hang out, but it’s definitely worth check out for coffee to go!"
"Ceremonial Matcha is smooth and perfectly balanced! The atmosphere is amazing , warm and inviting! The coffee is incredible with great in house syrup options. My favorite spot to relax and enjoy a quality drink! 🤍 all milk options are ORGANIC"
"I was walking to Communal Coffee when I saw this tiny shop to my right. Communal Coffee is almost like a staple in North Park, especially their matcha so I thought I'd give this place a try since I saw they advertised matcha. The location for the business is probably not exactly ideal for them... They are surrounded by popular coffee shops nestled underneath some apartments. It would be hard to see just driving by. Luckily I saw it! I headed inside to where I was greeted by two individuals were very nice! At the time I'm writing this they opened just about two weeks ago, so quite literally brand new. Fortunately, they told me they get a decent amount of customers which is great to hear considering they've only been open for two weeks. They have bags of coffee for sale from other countries that the owners(?) brought back from the roasters personally. Pretty neat! They had a variety of options for coffee and matcha. I like plain matcha, so I just ordered a ceremonial grade matcha latte. And wow! It was DELICIOUS. Much better than Communal. Obviously this place is less busy so more opportunity to focus on quality, but still I was impressed. Easily made it onto my top 5 of best tasting matcha's. Very umami, but also very smooth and still had a good balance of milk flavor to matcha. Very good. This is a small business, and it's in San Diego, so yeah it's definitely pricey. I paid $8.80 for this matcha which was okay because it was very good. My only complaint is going to be the size of the drinks. The cups were abnormally small. Price is easier to understand, but I feel like it'll be hard to continue with that price when the quantity is small. To be completely fair, I could've gone to Communal, paid $7.75 and it would be much bigger. Would it taste as good, no. But it would still taste good and I got more of it. In short, you can keep the price but the cups should probably be bigger. People will be more inclined to come back knowing that the product is great and they are getting a good quantity of it. Not enough to dock any stars, still currently to me a 5/5 business and I high recommend for any matcha connoisseurs."
