"We had a lovely time at Matcha Cafe Maiko! The soft serve was delicious: creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. My grandma absolutely loved it, and we really enjoyed sitting in the café, chatting and relaxing together. I’ve tried Maiko at other locations and am used to a stronger matcha flavor, but this one had a more subtle taste, which my grandma preferred, so it was a win for her! The only downside was that the soft serve started seeping through the cone before we were done eating, which got a bit messy. Still, overall a sweet and enjoyable experience!"

The serving process, however, could be smoother. Instead of calling customers once the full order is ready, they call for each item separately, resulting in five trips back and forth from our table. Not a deal‑breaker, but refining the system would make the experience even better."

"4 stars for Premium Matcha Café Maiko — hands down the best matcha I’ve had in San Diego. Rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — it’s matcha done right. Their banana pudding also slaps — creamy, flavorful, and dangerously easy to finish. I even order from them a lot on Uber Eats because it’s out of my way, but that’s how good it is. Service is friendly, and the vibe is chill — worth the trip (or the delivery fee) for a proper matcha fix."
