What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Ack! Their bathroom wasn’t working! I think that’s a violation of public health code. And, at a minimum, this is a café, so people will need to go to the bathroom! Especially after drinking coffee. ;) The place was really sweet. The servers were great. She made me a drink that wasn’t on the menu. Nothing to fault there. But not having a working bathroom is just a dealbreaker. I’m assuming they had a handwashing station in the back, because they had running water and they were making drinks, so that sanitary element was not really the issue for me. But not having access to a toilet, as a customer, is an issue. They did tell me that I could go next-door to the building and just tell them that I was in the café and they would let me use the bathroom in the lobby. But when I did that, the person said the lobby bathroom is not to be used and she was nice enough to let me up all the way to the 10th floor where there was a bathroom near their outdoor area. And she told me that she thought that the only people using their bathroom were supposed to be workers in the café. So I think that the folks in the café should have had a deal with the building next-door to let all of their patrons use the bathroom, even if they had to give them free drinks or something. It just seems really odd not to have a bathroom in use as a restaurant. I do understand sometimes the restaurants will point you to a public bathroom, that’s totally fine, and sometimes they’re across the street, or down the hallway, such as in a large shopping mall, or outdoor shopping area, and there are some clusters of places in other countries that have a lot of restaurants surrounding a single larger grocery store and all of the patrons go to the grocery store, but the grocery store is aware of this. This cafe was surrounded by residential, and so I think the only option was the building next-door, but they should’ve made it clearer with the building next-door that this was going to be happening until they fixed their bathroom. I was going to stay and have some food. That was my plan. To have a coffee drink and work a bit and then grab some lunch, but since there was no bathroom, and I already used Nextdoor once, and it was a trek up to the 10th floor, I walked back to the hotel and used the bathroom. So I’ll just grab something in another café nearby that has a working bathroom!"
"Ordered the turkey egg and cheese croissant sandwich for breakfast. It was delicious. Love the crunchiness of the croissant. Sometimes I’m not a fan of egg because it tastes “too eggy”. This was not the case with this sandwich. Didn’t have to wait long for my food. My friend ordered a TBA lunch sandwich. Delicious and large in size. The mustard reminded me of subway’s mustard and I love that mustard! Drink was a customized cold brew (it had sweet cream). Only complaint: wishing they had smaller cup sizes."
"Probably one of the best looking cafes their are. Truly so comfortable anywhere you sit. The prices are so good and they have Dark horse, so can't fo wrong! The owner is so nice and seems to be very hands on and part of the team. I like the consistency in service and cool barista vibes. Thanks for always being there."
"Mio + Tuo was a staple when I lived downtown. I still try to come here whenever I get the chance. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. The food is great. And the drinks are second to none. Not least of which because they’re so creative. Highly recommended!"
"Highly recommend the horchata latte — it was smooth, milky, and with the perfect amount of cinnamon flavor. The croissant was also delicious, but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, great ambiance, drinks, and service!"
"Came from the airport for a light breakfast! Construction made me drive around in circles so don't get discouraged if you're coming from out of town. Had..."
