"I absolutely loved breakfast here! I’d heard great things about the biscuits and gravy, so I ordered them as a side and wow, they were delicious. I also had the scramble, which was packed with generous portions of sausage, ham, bacon, etc. The eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly. I added a waffle on the side, which was decent, but next time I’m definitely trying the French toast. We sat in a high booth toward the back and enjoyed a fantastic view of the pier and the ocean, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Great food, great atmosphere. I’d happily come back!"

"Soo we must have came on an off day. My girlfriend and I were told the wait would be 15 minutes and after waiting more than 30, we went back to the hostess to check how much longer and we were told we were “somehow not saved” even though we got a confirmation text that we were on the waitlist. We were then seated at a poorly bussed table with a sticky surface and the floor had large water puddles. It took an additional 15 minutes for our waitress to come. They were clearly SEVERELY understaffed — to the point where they should have just closed for the day. I ordered the veggie power bowl with steak and my girlfriend ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich. The food was good BUT I found a METAL WIRE in my food that I accidentally ate and was chewing on. Overall our experience began to feel like an ordeal and we will not be back."

"One of my favorite restaurants in all of San Diego! I've been coming here for years! The bar is great! And all the seeds around the windows looking at on the ocean are amazing! Especially when they open up the windows and you get the Sea breeze coming in. It is on the second floor so there's nothing obstructing your view of the beach the pier, and the lifeguard station! Food is wonderful as well! It truly is a Wonderland!"

"OB Surf Lodge is an awesome spot, especially on a warm day with the ocean breeze coming through. I'll I had the crab cakes and a couple of beers — the crab cakes were excellent, and the Pina Colada IPA really stood out, super refreshing and unique. Great atmosphere overall, laid-back but lively, and it’s hard to beat the view and vibe right by the beach. Definitely a place I’d come back to."
