"I came into this store this morning and was accused of stealing a Nongshim soup. I had the soup with me when I entered the store, I purchased utensils, a gallon of water, jerky to add to the soup, and a Spam Masubi. AFTER the transaction, I brought my soup to the coffee area to put hot water into it, and the store clerk Jeremiah lied [(? - I didn't catch either of their names for certain and they removed their name tags when I started looking for the sake of this review), but it was the morning of 8/15/25 around 5:40AM] and said that I stole the soup, which his superior supported and loudly announced to the entire store full of early morning construction workers. He then forced me to leave the store, but I wouldn't leave until I physically showed them that they didn't have this flavor in their store, so me stealing it was a lie. The accusations and public embarrassment were humiliating and unacceptable. I would love a formal apology for getting drug through the mud after carefully adhering to the law, but I'm sure I won't get it from these cowards and liars. It's simply proof that their employees profile based on inconclusive criteria such as "rides a bike" and have no formal training to prevent such acts of prejudice. Be better, Shell. I'm sure I'm not the first person this has happened to and I sure as hell won't be the last if you don't train your employees to use facts and tangible evidence to make allegations surrounding theft or any other illegal behavior rather than momentary observation and hearsay. I did my part to make it clear and evident that I did not steal; they should have done their part to prevent the public shaming of a good person who went above & beyond (buying bottled water AND utensils to ensure I didn't just steal those items from the store to make my soup). Update: after finishing this review, I sat down to eat said soup and take a picture of my purchase to verify my purchase claims, and a worker pulled up in his car and asked me to please move because he was going to park where I was sitting. I was sitting nearby the road entrance, which is NOT a permissible parking space and there were plenty of other free spaces, so please consider me horrified by the way you treat your customers. You won't see my face at this Shell or any other if I can help it!"
