What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"Tuesday at 10:15am. The café was quite full of patrons drinking coffee and eating the $14 avocado toast. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk to go. ~$8!!!! The taste was mild, not very strong. This NoPA neighborhood is well suited for well- and highly-paid tech workers. Not reasonably priced beverage or food. The patrons mostly had their laptops open and doing work. They were parked out and taking over space for people who just want to chill with a coffee or tea. This café needs a No laptops policy."

"Stopped by The Mill and everything was a hit. The cortado was perfect — smooth, balanced, and just the right size. Food-wise: • The Egg in the Hole was the standout — that garlic butter on the country bread is next-level. • The smoked trout toast came in a close second, fresh and flavorful. • The hummus + cauliflower toast was good, just not as memorable as the others. Wrapped it all up with a slice of the persimmon cinnamon pistachio crumble cake, which was absolutely outstanding — warm, spiced, and perfectly textured. Great vibe, friendly staff, and beautifully executed menu. Will definitely be back."

"Good flaky pastries (some better than others), but the prices are beyond exaggerated. $17 for a slice of bread with very little on it is insane, especially for a trout toast that ended up being too salty. Ham and cheese croissant was flaky but lacking in filling, toma and squash bureka was also low on filling but very tasty, coffee chocolate crinkle cookie was good but way too expensive for one tiny cookie, and the babka was ok. Love that the place has outdoor seating which makes it dog friendly, but seating is limited, and the wait is very long. IMO - not worth it."

"I can’t speak on the bread but I have only heard marvelous things about it. It smelled incredible. I already had a big lunch, so my stomach couldn’t fit any more solids. I got a coffee and enjoyed the ambiance. Light filled space with the perfect amount of background noise to focus. The smells are free, and that was truly the best part. Nicely curated bakery and cafe that I would totally sit and write or draw in if I lived nearby."

"I always love getting breakfast at the mill! The egg in a hole is my favorite followed closely by the avocado toast. The coffee is superb. My only notes are that this is a real work from home hot spot and all the tables are always filled with computers so that can be a bit of a buzz kill if your looking for a breakfast date. The outside parklet is nice but be sure to check for your food often."

"Bread is so yummy!! Lots of seating indoors though it does get taken up pretty quickly. Ambiance is an industrial vibe which I loved. We got the cinnamon..."
