What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"The place is busy. If you want to eat there you’re not alone. They told me it was going to be a 20 minute wait for my lunch, which is not uncommon. I wasn’t bothered. I was able to place an order and pick up at a later time. I came back 30 minutes later and they graciously and confidently handed me my food. Did I like the food? Yeah. Was the place cozy? Sure, if you like sitting around a lot of people. They had a catering van out front. To be honest this place is a hit, but maybe too much of one. You can get a number of meals there throughout the day, but I wouldn’t say it’s particularly amazing with any of those dishes. That’s not a criticism as much as it is an observation. If you want to find staples of asian street food where you can also bring your vegetarian friend well this place is cool. Would I recommend it to out of town folks? No, this is more the neighborhood joint. There’s a few other places in the area, you should try them, especially if they have a line going out into the street. They’re good, but they’re not worth your whole afternoon or evening. Personally, I see the biggest issue is the size of their kitchen in regards to demand."
"Good food. I got the chicken and ginger jook (the added crispy and warm you tiao was a nice touch) and my husband got the Szechuan tofu with rice and greens. I thought the house side salad had too much dressing, which I ended up wiping away. Service was friendly and helpful. I was not a big fan of the cavernous, noisy, bustling cafe atmosphere. Too much echoing and running around for my taste."
"The Wooly Pig sandwich was a let down. Too much meat and not enough crunch from the arugula; the flavors and the textures were out of balance. The texture reminded me of pulled pork rather than sliced pork belly, which was how it was advertised on the menu (“Shanghai-style braised caramel pork belly”). More arugula and more pickled onion would’ve helped this sandwich immensely. Or even a few shreds of pickled cabbage because the arugula is too delicate to balance out the pork. The shrimp chips were the best part of the meal."
"so cute and amazing service! the food is great too i came here when i really had to poop all of a sudden and graciously they had a very clean bathroom too."
"The food looks a lot better, but I forgot to take pictures until halfway through eating the delicious meal! We got the Szechuan chicken and curry udon - every bite was an explosion of flavor. The restaurant fully beat my expectations (admittedly, I was a bit confused about what the food would be like going in) 😬 but everything was amazing. Would highly recommend!!!!"
"Didn't have to brave the cold for Wooly Pigs at Outside Lands but instead popped into their Dogpatch location and got that marinaded crispy Taiwanese Pork..."
