"Off of Stowell road on the east side of 101 there is a small burger hot dog and shaved ice place called California hot dog. We stopped there today for a little lunch and it was a very nice place. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was pleasant and courteous. I had the Chicago dog combo and my cute little wife had the chili dog she upgraded to you all beef dog but I did not, when I do go back in the future I will upgrade to the all beef dog because it's a little bigger. They did have Coke zero but they did not have the diet Coke I always look for. The food was really good Marilyn got french fries and I got the tater tots so we could both try them. My Chicago dog was excellent and she really enjoyed her chili dog. You could either eat indoors or outdoors so we sat outside and it was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed our food. I see they also offer smash burgers and shaved ice products. Stop in sometime and check this place out."

"This thing has absolutely obliterated my appetite. It's hard and I cannot pull it out, Google says it may be an internal casing defect but I have no idea what it is. It's coming from within the hot dog and protruding out quite a bit. It's super super gross, not sure how this goes out without notice but I won't be ordering from here anymore."

"The smash burgers were super bomb.The classic was really good and the baja was super fired and the LA street dog was big, could feed two people or one really big guy lol. All in all 5 star 🌟 we ordered and were eating in just a few minutes. Very flavorful hit the spot"
