What People Are Saying
from Google"I always tell my boyfriend that if I ever got rich, the first thing I’d do is hire Steve full-time just to make my breakfast sandwiches. And today? He outdid himself. Starting my morning by biting into pure heaven was unreal. I even bought a lottery ticket — because honestly, hiring Steve to make those otherworldly breakfast sandwiches every day feels like a dream worth chasing."
"We ordered empanadas pastries and coffee for our son’s birthday party in the park across the street. The staff we corresponded with was super helpful as we worked to arrange the order and even offered us a discount for the large order. They were all very kind and found us in the park to bring the milk we forgot to pick up with the order. The empanadas were SO GOOD! Made our party very easy for food and delicious. Thanks Lo/Cal!"
"A decent cafe serving deli sandwiches. Expensive but not absurd, as one sandwich can probably feed 2 and comes with chips. The atmosphere is alright for a short meal but probably not great to sit and get work done if that’s what you intend. Service was good for sitting down. The sandwiches are really delicious, and they have some specialty coffees. Overall, it’s not hard to find a good specialty coffee shop in west LA, and Lo/Cal pulls its weight but doesn’t excel."
"Love this spot. Iced vanilla oatmilk lattes. Their food is delicious! Love their empanadas. The atmosphere is a vibe whether it’s inside, outside in the back or the front of the shop. Tic-Tac-Toe is a must with the kids."
"I came in for a cold brew. $8 plus $0.75 for oat milk and a 3% surcharge to use a credit card. The coffee was very bitter and tasted burnt. I would have felt overcharged even if the coffee was decent but to be served something of such poor quality for exorbitant prices is unforgivable. I will not be returning."
