What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Iconic local restaurant serving a full menu. Plenty of seating in and out. Our lunch time meals were prepared perfectly and served hot and fresh. Our server was the only wait staff working. She was attentive even though working 5 tables and the bar! BRAVO. My grilled cheese was better than my mom’s. Sorry mom. The fries and rings were delicious. I wanted more… We enjoyed our time there. Such a long running staple in the community, Curley’s desperately needs a refresh. The building and contents are tired and worn. With such a strong menu, patrons would reward you with increased business in exchange for a makeover. Refresh or not, it’s a great menu, the kitchen nails it and the help (at least our server) is extraordinary. Recommended."
"Curley's Cafe is an Old Time diner. With great big portions and quick service - when they're not busy. There's plenty of parking out front and even a patio they just built. A really nice bar for your bloody Mary's and micheladas for sports weekends - the TVs are on with all the games Sunday. Today we had breakfast. Ham and eggs with a giant slice of ham and corned beef hash and eggs. Something a lot of places don't have anymore. Corned beef hash. In the past I've had a great big Cobb salad. And a Patty melt. They have all the good diner favorites. Amanda waited on us today. We got our own carafe of fresh brewed coffee. Because it was after the breakfast crowd we were able to sit for a while and talk after. By the way, Amanda gave us great service. Thanks for the tasty food and friendly folks."
"First time here. We were ready to eat. Food is very filling, place been around for years and for good reason! Fresh food, we got 2 plates & a side. We shared and took food home! Friendly staff, great hours, fresh food. Will visit again when in the area! I want to try dinner!"
"Great gem of a place that's been there for years. Food is awesome and well-priced for what you get. Coldest beer in town, and the food is amazing! I stop in every time I visit Long Beach. The giant oil derrick outside is something pretty cool as well. It’s a good place to take out of towers also!"
"Leave your kids at home! Please don’t ruin this. This is my favorite Sunday morning breakfast spot in Long Beach. Lots of booze and lots of great food. The chicken fried steak is one of my favorites. Today I got the eggs Benedict and the enchilada cheese omelette, And two bloody Mary’s. I also always get a short stack. The pancakes here are thicker then a crepe but not too thick, and they put in a touch of cinnamon , …… "Beg your pardon? Cinnamon takes a back seat to no babka. People love cinnamon. It should be on tables at restaurants along with salt and pepper. Anytime anyone says, 'Oh This is so good. What's in it?' The answer invariably comes back: cinnamon. Cinnamon. Again and again. Lesser babka? I think not." Jerry Seinfeld. This is a great classic dinner with good booze and good food."
