"I got the matcha cloud drink with some coconut foam on top- delicious! So many unique & tasty-sounding flavor options on the menu like the option of adding pine or sage syrup to your coffee. I’d love to come back and try other things. I was also sad that I’d already eaten lunch because the food menu looked good as well. Would come back & recommend to someone looking for a quality drink stop/cafe, especially if interested in matcha as there were a lot of matcha options. Cafe was empty when I went around 1pm on a Sunday but environment was great- lots of light & seating, cute plants & trinkets, cushiony couch."

"Such a cute plants, art & coffee vibe! Love the extensive menu and had two lattes from fall menu very delicious and with great ingredients and not generic. Also have mini cheesecakes that are delicious and I had the ube one. Love the atmosphere and local art and info on the community events."

"Bare Roots is our favorite coffee house in South Lake Tahoe, or anywhere. The beans are roasted in house, and you can taste the love and care. There are delicious and fun seasonal offerings. And specialty syrups are also made in house. Blackberry Mocha is my go to and I always recommend it, but everything is good. The house also offers Kava in delicious Mocktails. The ambiance is warm and fun. There is local art on the walls and available for purchase if you see something you love. They also have an in house plant store regularly stocked with little to large options. The lush plants lend extra oxygen for those who find the altitude a little high in Tahoe!"

"I ordered a coffee sampler box last month, specifying the 4 different roasts I wanted to try. Two of the four were wrong, one of which was technically my fault because I misinterpreted the choice (thinking "Roasters Choice" was the name and not the roaster chooses for you). I reached out to customer service because the two I roasts I didn't order, weren't particularly my type - otherwise I would have lived with it. After a brief interaction with an employee, I believe one of the owners, Nikki, responded. She generously shipped me a new sampler order, free of charge. I have ordered from small batch coffee roasters all over the country and never received customer service like that. I was given free coffee, half of which was for my mistake. For contrast, I ordered from one of their (very) local competitors a couple of years ago. Wouldn't even work with me on a partial credit towards a different purchase. Another thing I appreciate about the sampler box is it's generously portioned for the price."
