"I have been a fan of James Coffee since they opened their original location in location in San Diego. The coffee was excellent, the beans were fantastic, and the staff was always personable. I was genuinely excited when I saw they were opening a location in Vista. After visiting this shop four or five times now, I’ve consistently left underwhelmed. On three occasions, the drip coffee has been cold or lukewarm, regardless of the time of day. I’ve also tried two of the specialty drinks, both of which were overly sweet. The staff here also comes across as very blasé. It often feels like they’re indifferent to the customers walking in. The previous coffee shop in this same location had excellent customer service—I always felt welcomed. Here, I find myself almost hesitant to order. I’m disappointed, because I really wanted to love this place, but the experience just hasn’t matched the expectations set by the original location."

"My husband and I have been drinking James Coffee CO’s roasted beans at home for years and were very excited to hear that James Coffee Co was opening in Vista. It took some time to make it over and we finally tried the Honey Cinnamon Latte and the Rancher. Both were way too sweet for our liking and it covered up the taste of what we know to be great coffee. Pretty disappointing and reminiscent of some of the corporate coffee chains. We’ll try again but will go with drinks that let the coffee shine (and of course will continue to brew their great roasts at home)."

It makes you want to stay and enjoy every last sip of your drink. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, helping me through their impressive selection of roasts. I had their cold brew, and it was smooth and rich, just the way I like it! I’ll be back."

"A friend told me about this new coffee shop in Vista so I had to check it out. I tried the iced honey cinnamon latte and it was delicious. Just the right amount of sweet and cinnamon-y without being too much. Also got a chocolate croissant too, it was delicious. The space itself feels super welcoming and laid back, the staff was really friendly. Glad to have a new go-to spot in the neighborhood!"
