"This café was recommended to me and I'm sure glad I tried it. The customer service was great. The gentleman behind the counter was very patient as I tried to decide what I wanted off of their extensive menu and asked various questions about their menu items. I decided on a dirty Matcha with brown sugar syrup as well as a chocolate polvorone, and the chupacabra burrito. I wish the Matcha would've been made sweeter. It was a little bit, bitter from the espresso that I had added to it and just taste it like plain, Matcha and espresso with barely any syrup added. The chupacabra burrito left a lot to be desired. For it to have three different meats in it I expected an explosion of flavors and it felt pretty flat for me. It was decent just wanted more from it. The star of the show was the chocolate cookie. Growing up in high school I had always seen these cookies in the Mexican bakeries around my house, but I never once gave them another look to try them. Joke is on me because they are soooo delicious. As a chocolate fanatic, I actually did not mind the mild chocolate flavor. It reminded me of a slightly buttery crumbly shortbread cookie. That, along with the slight bitterness of the matcha after I doctored it up properly, I was in heaven. I recommend this cafe!"

"Best part they bring the drinks to you and actually get to know you. When did people stop becoming friends with their local baristas, especially Jackie, she gets my order right every time and very social and friendly. Haven’t seen many coffee shops in Colorado who go out there way for their regulars and have a good product. Only other place where this is customary is Mexico and even then their customer service, professionalism and team does not compare to anything in Colorado. Drinks are very good, I’ve really been enjoying their hot honey latte with a dash of salt, I’ve been looking for this flavor since I left Carmel California . Their tamales and burritos are also very good!!!!"

"Good coffee. Recently changed ownership with some ups and downs. I’d give the last owners four stars, now it’s two because the net effect of changes is negative for my preferences. Oct 2025 update: New owners continue making decisions that alienate me. - All drinks now served in disposable to go cups, even if you plan to stay and work. Cheaper? Maybe. Enjoyable? No, reusable glasses and cups are nicer to drink from and more sustainable, if you care about stuff like that. - High energy Mexican music played loudly frequently. No hate on the genre, it just isn’t really coffee shop music. Too loud, not chill. - At least one former employee who was great seems to have left, the others I know look less enthused. New staff are super corporate. Original review: The good: - New hours are really nice. I live nearby and having a non-bar option for late afternoon is otherwise missing in the neighborhood. Haven’t been super early morning yet, but I know that will be convenient someday soon. - Kept some of the same high quality, friendly staff members The bad: - New POS system is slow and higher friction than the old one. Cards take longer to scan and every transaction requires a physical receipt and signature. Maybe this has lower costs, but it slows down service and adds friction for customers. - Staff wearing polo shirts with the company logo is extremely lame and worsens the vibes. Feels super corporate instead of local like it used to. If you must exert this sort of branding control (you don’t need to), use T-shirts instead of polos. - Does anyone buy the fancy drinks that now take up half the menu? This is a hotspot for people to do work with a cup of coffee, not a tourist-y boba or fancy beverage shop"
