What People Are Saying

"I am a member of the art museum and I eat here frequently. I have been increasingly disappointed every time I come here. The food quality is getting lower and lower. The soup tasted like it had been reheated multiple times. Just bad. I also had the bahnmi and it was not only a mess visually, but completely flavorless and really gross tasting. The French bread was cold and uncooked. I had the jackfruit bahnmi and the jackfruit tasted like it was just straight from the can with no seasoning added. Cold, wet flavorless slop. My mom also ordered it and we could not stomach more than one bite. Out of desperation we ordered the Buddha bowl hoping it would be better... Tragically it was just as bad if not even worse with poor quality frozen, old vegetables. If you are at all interested in any kind of quality food, go next door to ponti. It is worth price. I am leaving here incredibly disappointed, and hungry."

"Really delicious food and drinks, good selection of options on all fronts. The staff was incredibly kind and thorough in checking ingredients and working to deliver a safe and tasty meal. They had gluten free bread which is also legume-free and cleaned their prep tools, workstation, and changed gloves to help ensure allergen safety. The coffee is really good too and the barista made a recommendation to add a little raspberry syrup to my oat milk mocha which really took it to the next level. Definitely an oasis for those who want to refuel, dietary restrictions or not!"

"There were four people behind the counter: one taking orders, one making sandwiches (slower than I believed possible), and the other two, busy talking to each other. It was busy, but mainly because of the ineptitude of the staff. And the person whom I asked about our delayed order was very rude. When the food arrived after 30 minutes, it wasn't as described and not good. Only one slice of the white bread was toasted, the other being soggy. It was not what I ordered anyway, as it was supposed to be on a baguette. Extremely disappointed! Doesn't deserve one star, but no other choice. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!"

"I have been coming to this spot for a few years now, and wow have they turned things around. They have always had decent drinks, but in the past food and service were spotty. In the last 6 months it feels like a totally different place. Staff is friendly, and clearly care about it being a good experience, all while cracking a joke or two. Way to GiO!!!"

"Straight up foam lattes. Ordered a golden chai and it was incredibly strong and foamy. Asked to have my order changed to a normal chai and it was once again, lukewarm foam. ALL FOAM literally no liquid. Barista was very nice though. However, seems as if the baristas are not properly trained and don't know how to use a steam wand. In any case, nice place to stop in after the library, quality is very disappointing. Not a big incentive for them to improve given their proximity to the library and art centers, customers are a given."
