"I happened upon Kaffe Åre while in the neighborhood for an entirely different errand and was pleasantly surprised to discover this charming Scandinavian-style café. We arrived just before closing, so the pastry case was nearly empty, but the overall menu was still quite impressive, offering a wide selection of coffee drinks, fresh juices, smoothies, sandwiches, and light bites. Given the late afternoon hour, my friend and I opted for the Strawberry Probiotic Smoothie—something refreshing to carry us through until dinner. Because it was so close to closing time, the café was fairly quiet, which allowed us to really take in the atmosphere. The space feels wonderfully hygge, with thoughtful Scandinavian design touches throughout: light wood finishes, lush green plants, soft white and gray tones, clean lines, and a calming biophilic aesthetic that makes the café feel both modern and cozy. The barista was friendly, efficient, and welcoming, making the ordering process smooth and pleasant. The first few sips of the smoothie delivered a bright burst of fresh strawberry flavor, though the straw was a bit too narrow for the thicker, icy texture. As we continued drinking, the strawberry flavor unfortunately faded, and the smoothie became more icy than flavorful, which was somewhat disappointing. The baked goods that remained looked intriguing, especially with their playful use of Scandinavian names, but since we arrived at the end of the day, the selection was limited. I’ll definitely need to return earlier next time to fully explore the pastry offerings. Overall, Kaffe Åre feels like an ideal spot for remote work, a casual work meeting, or catching up with a friend over coffee. If you’re in the area, I would absolutely recommend stopping by and giving it a try—preferably earlier in the day to experience everything it has to offer."

"There is definitely not a shortage of coffee shops in the Denver metro area but there aren’t many really good ones, but Kaffe Are is one of them. Kaffe Are has 3 locations in Denver and a couple in NYC. I have not been to the other locations in Denver but the one on Platte St is absolutely beautiful with a great atmosphere to get some work done or catch up with a friend. It is very quiet but not uncomfortably so with seating in the shop itself and also right outside of it in the building lobby. I ordered the Immunity Booster Fresh Pressed Juice and I think I remember myself saying “wow” out loud. They showed me the actual ingredients going into the juice and it looked super fresh and high quality. It was delicious and I just felt good after drinking it. I can’t wait to try their other offerings soon! The barista that helped me out was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. We even had a short, pleasant conversation about the beautiful money tree they have in the store and how they got it to be so healthy."

"This place is absolutely amazing!!! It is very cozy and quiet. If you are a student it is a very nice place to study and enjoy a cup of coffee, a smoothie, tea or a snack. Whenever you are on layover or want to spend time together in lovely Denver, come by to this place and enjoy your day. Their drinks and sandwiches are on point! This place is 7-10 minutes away from Union Station which is perfect to everyone who is traveling and wants to get a quick drink and lunch. This cafe is another level of perfection!! I recommend this cafe to everyone who enjoys coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, etc. I will give them 5-star rating and more!!!"

"This spot is awesome!!! We got the Protein Almond chocolate bite and 2 lattes. Everything was delicious and the cafe itself is super clean. It’s a Swedish cafe, so it carries a unique energy compared to other cafes in the area. Super fun spot and will be back soon!"

"We got the regular matcha latte and it had a thick authentic texture with rich flavor to it. You can enjoy it by itself if you like to drink original matcha.The sister at the register was very nice, she added vanilla syrup upon request . All of their syrups are also hand made ! It was our first cafe we stumbled upon in Denver :) Very clean and spacious area as well"
