What People Are Saying

"First time I came into this location and probably spent an hour checking out all the great products that reminded me of growing up on the east coast. Then I ordered a Jedi sandwich for an easy dinner and was blown away by how great it was! Excellent quality, and the best sandwich I’ve eaten in quite some time. 5 stars and will be making it a tradition to come back after a tough day at work!"

"Very nice gourmet market. The meat, cheese and prepared foods sections are all good. The frozen and bakery sections are small as is the produce section. They also have a selection of their own brand of ice cream. Employees are friendly and helpful. The parking lot is large."

"Great food. Horrible prices. It’s just plain sad.. I really wanted to like this place. Marczyk Fine Foods presents itself as a high quality neighborhood grocery store that values local products, convenience, and community. On paper, that sounds great. In reality, the pricing completely undermines everything they claim to stand for. Charging $11.99 per pound for tuna salad is not premium. It is absurd. Charging $42 per pound for ribeye is even worse. That is not a small markup for quality or sourcing. That is an outrageous price that makes no sense for a regular Denver grocery shopper. This is not New York City. This is not Aspen. This is not some ultra exclusive butcher with rare, dry aged cuts and white glove service. It is a neighborhood grocery store. Convenience does not justify prices that are completely detached from reality. Plenty of stores in Denver offer quality meat, prepared foods, and local items without charging numbers that feel punitive. At Marczyk, it feels like the customer is being punished for walking through the door. It honestly makes you wonder what is going on behind the scenes. Did someone sign a lease that was wildly too expensive and now shoppers are expected to cover the mistake? Is the overhead completely out of control? Is there serious mismanagement happening at the top? Or is the assumption simply that customers will not question it? Whatever the reason, none of them are acceptable. The frustrating part is that the store itself is fine. It is clean. It is well laid out. It is in a convenient location. But none of that matters when the prices are so extreme that they push away the very people who live in the surrounding neighborhoods. This pricing strategy sends a clear message that the average Denver resident is not the intended customer. There is a difference between charging more for quality and charging so much that it becomes offensive. Marczyk Fine Foods has crossed that line. The prices are unnecessary, unjustifiable, and completely out of touch with the local market. Until there is a serious correction in pricing or at least some attempt to bring costs back to something resembling reasonable, I cannot recommend shopping here. Convenience alone is not worth feeling taken advantage of at the register."

"I drive by Marczyk daily and finally decided to stopped by for lunch. Immediately felt welcomed- very friendly staff. I ordered the Italian Job Sandwich in with pesto chips and it was DELICIOUS! Well worth the price. It was fresh and packed with flavor and protein- Certainly will be returning, especially to check out the rest of their market goods."
