What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"I had been to this restaurant years ago on a trip to Denver with my wife. And wanted to go back because it really is just such a beautiful spot. I was surprised because after sitting down I read some reviews that indicated the service and the food weren't that great. All I can say is I had an amazing time. It did take time for the food to get prepared and delivered but that's to be expected when you're making food from scratch. Any good restaurant that's really producing quality food takes time. The service was absolutely phenomenal. Amanda was my waitress and she was a dear heart constantly checking up on me and making sure that I had everything I needed and excellent service. I will be back and I think the people with low ratings need an ego check and some grace."

"We actually planned breakfast at another restaurant but the wait time was ridiculous and we stumbled upon this very cute place, and we were VERY happy we did. Delicious latte choices and just a really great breakfast. Loved the yogurt parfait with my meal. So happy the other place didn't work out and we'll be returning here for sure! Super friendly staff too!"

"I don’t do reviews, but I felt that I needed to warn you. Don’t waste your time or money! Took my 88 YO mother to brunch. Thought we would pick a new restaurant for a different experience. Restaurant was small with limited seating but the waitress was able to put two tables together to seat the three in our party. There were less than 20 patrons in the restaurant, to include the outdoor seating. Ordered brunch cocktails, and they were tiny. We all ordered different versions of their eggs benedict. Food took over 30 minutes to get to our table, which was brought out by the busboy. When mine arrived ( smoked salmon benedict) it was buried in rough cut purple onions which I had to remove most of them. The presentation showed that there was no chef and at best a short order cook with very little experience in the kitchen. I cut into the poached eggs and they were hard. Not just a little overcooked, but almost hard boiled egg status. The whole dish was cold and the hollandaise sauce had broken. I took pictures and looked around for the waitress but she was nowhere to be found. Since we had waited 30 minutes for our food, had other plans for the day, and the other two people in my parties food was cooked properly, I proceeded to eat. I figured that the waitress would come by shortly. BOY WAS I WRONG! She never showed up. Not to see how are food was, not to see if we needed another drink, NOTHING! She was helping the other tables, but didn’t come to our table…until I was literally taking my last bite. She asked how our food was. I told her that it was terrible. She responded that she saw my plate when I first cut into it and that it looked bad. I couldn’t believe she said that. My girlfriend asked her why she didn’t do anything, and she literally responded that “she was scared”. I asked her if that is why she never came back to our table for our entire visit and she replies “yes”. She stated that she was going to go yell at the cook. She left and came back shortly thereafter with the bill, no further apology, no mention of speaking with the kitchen staff, and no comp for the poor quality food. She wouldn’t even come back to the table so I could pay, so I had to flag down another bus person to pay. It was an unbelievable experience in extremely poor, extremely poor, extremely poor customer service. I intentionally left an insulting tip (at least I hope it was insulting, because I know that I was insulted). I hope she got the point, and the restaurant owner reads this review so they know why their restaurant failed. Will never go back. Word of mouth is the best kind of karma."

"As a foreigner, I’m totally vibing with places like this—there’s history here and a cool retro feel. This is exactly what foreigners expect from classic American spots. But, like, being a girly girl, I can’t help but mention that, yeah, it's not super clean everywhere. But honestly, that’s part of its charm."

"Cute little cafe right across from our Airbnb. Our server was attentive and helpful. Our hostess made me an iced coffee that was delicious. My boyfriend had a bread pudding French toast that he talked about the rest of the day. There was a lot of foot traffic from around the neighborhood, ordering to-go coffee, highlighting the community love for this establishment."

"Popped in for a quick latte and breakfast burrito. Thinking the burrito would be handheld. Nah...it was huge! LOL. Small little cafe and pretty busy so..."
