What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"Got the Chapel Hill(Chicken biscuit) + cheese + egg. Soooo good, just like that scene from ratatouille. I was flavor blasted into a blissful dimension. Haven’t had such a good biscuit in a long time. Prices are great too, I wish I lived closer so I could come work here. I would eat here every day if I could. Their coffee was pretty good too, based out of NC the place has a special vibe too, very welcoming, service was fast and friendly, give them a Michelin star."

"Everytime I come here it is hit or miss. Sometimes the biscuits are too dry, that's okay now I just add honey to mine. Sometimes they're juicy and delicious but the egg I asked for is missing even though I double checked my receipt and it was on there. Their coffee bar has their shit together tho. I guess I'll keep coming back but it's kind of funny."

"Tried this biscuit spot and overall, it was just okay. The biscuit itself was mid—not bad, but definitely not the best I’ve had. (I love biscuits!) It reminded me a lot of a flaky Pillsbury biscuit, which some might love, but it wasn’t anything special to me. What did stand out was the cinnamon roll. Super soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside, and flavorful. Make sure to add the side of icing (for a small charge) but it was totally worth it. Honestly, the cinnamon roll was the highlight. Their website encourages you to order in person, stating: “IN PERSON ORDERING IS THE FUTURE!!!” They claim it’s faster and allows for more customization. Being that I couldn’t order what I wanted online, I did order in person, but was immediately asked if my dog (who was fully enclosed in a zipped-up/netted/ buckled stroller) was a service animal. She’s an ESA, so I let them know I was just ordering togo and wouldn’t be dining in and could wait outside. They said it was fine "this one time," explaining they previously got a health code violation for having a dog inside when an inspector showed up. Out of curiosity, I checked the Denver Department of Public Health & Environment Inspection Reports and found no actual violation—just under “general comment” that they “discussed questions for service animals/investigator discussed animals in facility/discussed service animal policy/report sent to (email) along with service animal guidelines” Nothing about this even under “non-critical violations.” So while I understand their caution and wanting to follow the law, the approach came off a bit abrasive, which set the tone for the whole experience. And yes, they do have a sign on the front door stating “no dogs, service animals only”—which is fair. But it does raise the question: if customers have their esa/dog/cat with them and can’t go inside, how are they supposed to order to-go food when the website doesn’t allow for customizations and you don’t have a togo window? And no, my dog will not be sitting outside alone while I run in. Thanks for any reply!"

"Good spot for breakfast or lunch. The Raleigh biscuit was excellent. It's roast beef and cheese (on a cheddar biscuit today). What really made the sandwich was the horseradish which added a welcome bite to the experience. The coffee is good too. Service was great. It was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. The space is older but pleasant with local art on the walls and a North Carolina theme. They do have password protected Wi-Fi available for guests. Parking is on street. Around opening time there were a lot of spaces."

"Not sure you can rise above Rise and Shine for a tastier quick breakfast in a chill place. Service always friendly yet laid back. Hard to beat the biscuit of the day, flaky and flavorful, with or without egg, sausage, chicken or other options. Pablo’s coffee fresh, hot and good. Laid back vibe, open space with area artists on display. Gotta appreciate the Tarheel love too. Great start to any day!"
