"Despite what most of these “so called critics” have to say, the service was amazing!! Staff is very friendly and the chef is very talented. Making a vast variety of different dishes known to blow your socks off. Showing mastery in the field. As a fellow food reviewer/ critique from the NY side— this is definitely a uniquely warm inviting experience! From one food baddie to another, please invite your taste buds to an amazing delightful experience."

"Off The Trail Cafe has only been open for less than a year, but the place has brought a vibe to our little town that is so loved & appreciated. Great food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere all contribute to a welcoming place. Not only is it a great stop for hikers, but other visitors and locals find it to be a perfect place to get a great breakfast and lunch, sweet treats and a perfect variety of coffees and drinks. Local foods like Peaches and Cream Ice Cream are a real treat in warm weather and local favorites like the legendary Toymakers Waffles & Hannah's Donuts are not to be missed. Nate (the Great!) is a great cook and owner Liz is very talented, too. All the staff is wonderful. Outside seating where you can relax in our beautiful village with your dog or with your hiking or bicycle friends are a big plus. And when the weather is cold, a warm drink inside a clean and cozy place is very enjoyable. Local items are for sale, and lots of perfect items for the hikers are available. Liz & Howie have definitely done their research and know what makes everyone happy. They sure have made our little town happy and we look forward to many more years of scrumptious food & good vibes!"

"Loving this new cafe! Off The Trail is spacious, the staff is really friendly & the food is great. They also have lots of outdoor seating. I had a latte w/almond milk, the sausage, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich, potatoes (came w/the sandwich), a cinnamon roll & a latte. Generous portions & everything was tasty. I got it to go & all was in great order when I got home. I am picky about cinnamon buns, this one was nice & yeasty (It didn’t make it out of the shop…it was so good that I ate the whole thing while waiting for my order!). I went during their soft opening & everything was running smoothly. I look forward to going back again."

"Such a great café right in the center of town! Liz is the absolute sweetest and really took the time to listen to dietary needs, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. And the Bear Burrito? Incredible!! Highly recommend this cafe if you’re looking for good food and kind people."

"Great food, great service, and great location. Very cute local Cafe, good prices, with food that exceeds expectations. The chicken and waffles are a perfect amount of subtle sweetness with savory flavors. Definitely recommend (as a guy from the Deep South). Also, the Rise and Shine (croissant sandwich) with added bacon was really good. The bacon was at a perfect crisp level."
