"So it was my birthday, yesterday. I decided to treat myself, but I was incredibly disappointed ordering from here, for the first time and now the last -- time. I ordered brownies with ice-cream. They only delivered the brownies, and I paid 30.54 in total between the tip, door-dash delivery fee and everything else to get less than half of my order. Needlessly to say, I was highly upset; However to their credit, they did offer to refund/bring the ice-cream to me, after I called the store. I already filed for refund on door-dash. You've already failed to deliver the product the first time -- I'd rather, not be waiting till the Second Coming of Christ, for you not show up. What is the business model? I don't understand how a retail location can specialize in dessert and still fail to deliver on their product, when their a multitude of establishments offering the same product. I could have chalked this up to -- ehh, life happens but after further reading the complaints -- this a common occurrence. If you don't have ice-cream --- don't offer ice-cream. I will live, but what's annoying is paying a 50% markup for false advertisement. I could have gotten in my car, gone to 7-11 and purchased Ben & Jerry's at a fraction of the price. I'm sure they fulfill plenty of orders, without an issue, but for me that wasn't the case."

"I ordered a 12 pack with pint of ice cream. On the website they have cookies and cream. Driver texts me on my personal number asking if they notifyed me they didnt have the ice cream. I say no. The driver was saying he was going to run his mouth to them for lying and just being aggressive. I’m confused. Tells me he went back, they told him they cancelled my order and gave them back the cookies. Which again, never spoke with anyone. I call the place 3 times, no one picks up. Call corporate which tells me to call the bakery. Doesn’t offer any assistance. Still confused. Doordash called me and says I asked to cancel, I said I didn’t but just cancel it I guess, they just hang up on me. I look at the tracker on insomnia website, never says cancelled, dont have an email or anything. Call a 4th time a woman picks up, I explain everything, she says my driver was yelling at them and took my cookies and was very apologetic. She also told me cookie and cream is not even offered anymore. So Insomnia should take it off the website. Said she could send someone else out. Told her I would just pick up myself because I don’t want anyone else stealing what I paid for. Got my stuff, staff was very polite and fixed it promptly. I honestly feel bad for this location. Literally people screaming across the street if the store. Feel like it’s just a sketchy area to be in. Also, the website should let people know what delivery app they associate with. I ordered straight from the website not even knowing it’s being ordered through doordash. Never ordering from insomnia again, customer service on the website is so poor. After a certain amount of time there should be an option to cancel. My order still stays it’s on it’s way after 10 hours."

"The best cookie shop around! Way better than crumble. The double chocolate is my favorite for the basic cookies and the oatmeal chocolate chip is literally decadence! The cookies are always super warm and melty 🍪 🍪"

"I’ve eaten at a lot of Insomnia locations and this one is consistently the worse. On top of the taste not being quite the same as other locations the staff can be rude. The last time I was there they messed up my order and didn’t give me all my cookies. When I politely told the worker that I was missing cookies, the first thing she said was “you’re wrong”. Those were her exact words. She didn’t even bother to look in the box to confirm what was missing. Long story short, cookies were in fact missing. She finally acknowledged it and didn’t even apologize. Whoever the manager is needs to make better choices when hiring employees."

"We were in Hartford for the weekend and saw Insomnia Cookies near our hotel. We decided to get some cookies and walked in. Nobody was at the counter and no employees were in sight. There was an employee in the back that we could hear was on her phone yelling at someone for the 10 minutes we waited. We finally gave up and left without ordering anything, since the employee never came out to the front. Probably the least professionally run business I've ever encountered."
