"Of all the wonderful items that Atticus has to offer the Country Sourdough is my favorite, it's the best bread I've ever had. The bread is crusty with a nice char on the bottom and inside it's nice and chewy plus I like the fact that there is only 3 ingredients. My current fave to make with this bread is slice and toast it then top with ricotta that I whisk in mild olive oil and a drizzle of honey then sauteed mushrooms with ground rosemary. The staff is always pleasant and helpful and sitting outside in the warmer weather is delightful."

"Sometimes I go in when I have a psychological need for a pantry item snack on my way home. I never get fresh baked goods here due to Celiac and stick to the grocery and snack area, which sometimes has good finds. I have sometimes found frozen items or chocolates. (The mini zucchini are wonderfully cute.) Lately, though, there hasn't really been anything quick and snack-y or quick meal that's safe for Celiac, and what they carry rotates all of the time inconsistently, so I usually end up going to P&M or Nica's. Also I am a hearing aid user and if I think the music is loud it must be absolutely too loud for people with normal hearing."

"Such a special market filled with treats. Their bread is incredible and their coffee bar is great. Lots of hard to find specialty brands as well. A bit pricey but a great experience."

"Best bakery in New Haven in my opinion. Excellent coffee and their egg sandwiches are delicious. Staff is awesome. Only negative is there is very little inside seating so when they weather isn’t good, pls your order to go."
