What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"We stumbled upon Cafe Sophia whilst exploring around the area. This cafe has a warm, homely feel and was packed to the rafters! We ordered an Almond Joy Latte, Pumpkin Cinnamon Latte with whipped cream, Coffee, Powder Almond Cookie and Pistachio Baklava. My sis in law really enjoyed her coffee. She mentioned it was full bodied, zero sediment and no funky after taste whatsoever. The Pumpkin Cinnamon Latte was delicious. With the addition of the cream it was extra special. My partner liked his Almond Joy. It was my first time eating Almond Cookies and they were melt in the mouth scrumptious. The service was quick and the lady who took our order was friendly. Fabulous coffee that is definitely loved by the locals. There is plenty of parking outside that you need to pay for (Mon to Sat). Sunday is free."
"Me and my Wife stopped here after dinner that we had in other, local establishment for some dessert. Wanted to try different location instead of ordering dessert in restaurant. Place have few tables outside and some inside. It's not big. We decided to eat inside. There were quiet few people there on their laptops, one of them with 3 monitors which I'm finding funny (you don't have your home lol). We got some ice creams and shakes. They were good, nothing crazy spectacular. Just regular ice cream and shakes. Typical price for those things."
"The cafe interior vibe cozy and I am assuming with outdoor seating in the summers it must be a cool spot to spend some time at since it is on a lively WeHa street. This was my first time picking up a Coconut Creme Latte from here. The atmosphere was welcoming. However, I couldn’t really taste coconut and vanilla flavours evidently in my latte. Hopefully I have better luck next time."
"How cafes should be. Cafe Sophia is a warm, friendly place to get a coffee, pastry, crepe, ice cream or one of their other tasty items. Nestled conveniently in the center of West Hartford, Cafe Sophia is a delightful spot to get your coffee and relax while you drink and talk with a friend or about business. Rather than mass produced coffee, each cup is hand made and designed. No load noises from dozens of orders or the drive through. Andca good tasting cup of coffee to boot!"
"Friendly, quaint, and the perfect respite on a rainy day. We played board games and ate dulces and crepes. We had Mighty leaf tea (their selection is at least a dozen or more teas), and I had a cappuccino too. We spent hours here, eating, drinking, and playing games. The prosciutto crepe was yummy, though I wish there were set crepes and not +$3 for each additional topping. I wanted meat with other things. We added mushrooms and it was okay. I think prosciutto with fig and basil would be my next go-to. There is parking out back and front but it is very crowded."
"Not too impressed. Coffee, tea bags, ice cream, smoothies, crepes and waffles and other baked goods. Quantity is high, quality not so much. About 4-5..."
