Today, a bearded gentleman took my order, realized he didn't have the promised blueberry-filled donut in stock, and made one. Fast! Didn't stop to ask about it, didn't slow him down, he just took the extra step to make sure I got (the best donut in CT) what I ordered. "Sorry for the poor review. We went on a Sunday morning looking for some fresh made donuts and bought 4 to try. Every donut felt day old. They were firm and not fresh. (I’m sorry.) The service was lovely. We got in the car and drove to Neil’s Donuts in Middletown and the donuts were the right texture. They were fresh and very flavorful."
